I strongly suspect that the lowpricedigital.com site is a front for several deceptive companies, including the 3 listed above, that are probably all run out of the same boiler room. All 3 companies, for example, had the same voice message and choices on their answering machine.

The scenarios were all the same. No matter whether you placed the order by Internet or phone, you had to speak with a high pressure salesperson eventually or your order would not be processed. Their job was to sell you high priced accessories or warranties to cover their loss from the leader item that was priced below cost.

If this ploy failed, they would then feed you lies about the inferiority of the item in hopes you would cancel. I heard things like even thought the camera I wanted was covered by a USA warranty, it was an international model that was in a plastic shell instead of metal. Another place told me the camera didn't come with a manufacturers warranty and would cost extra.

Finally, if you still insist on the order, they will tell you to expect the item a week or two. Later you will receive an e-mail saying your item is on back order for 2 - 3 weeks and that they will contact when it is in stock. This, despite the fact all 3 companies told me the camera was in stock when asked on the phone.

AVOID these companies like the plague!
