My wife and I received an invoice for 190.35 from 900 Direct. Knowing neither of us made the calls, my wife called the toll free number to dispute the bill. Immediately the customer service (I use the term loosley) representative was rude and unprofessional.

Of the two calls allegedly placed from our phone. Only one authorization recording was available for playback. This recording was of a females voice stating "Yes" to the question asked if the person on the phone was authorized to make billing decisions for that line. That billed call was allegedly placed at 8:21 PM PST (11:21 PM EST). A long distance phone call was being placed from my house to a friend at that time.

The second alleged call was placed the following Monday at 2:30 PM EST. I was at work, and my wife and children were out running errands. When I called the toll free number to again dispute the bill and speak with a supervisor as to the poor customer service level, I recieved the same if not worse attitude and rudeness that had my wife nearly cursing. It took all I had to remain calm and professional.

After dealing with the CS representative, I asked to speak to a supervisor. The CS representative refused to connect me and proceded to argue with me about ducking responsibilies and that I should get ahold of my marrage (implying my wife made the calls). Later that day my attorneys office called the toll free number and eventually spoke with the manager.

I later (under instruction of my attorneys office) contacted the manager on a three way call with Sprint to prove the calls were conflicting. The MANAGER first tried to play dumb, THEN got rude not only with me but also with the Sprint customer service representative (who by the way, acted completely professional and calm, despite being verbaly assaulted by the 900 Direct Manager). The conversation ended with the 190.35 being in dispute and a copy of the phone companies switch reccord being sent to me.

If anyone would like to contact me on this matter please do not hesitate.

On a side note, this 900 Direct is stated on the invoice as being a Billing Division of USA Connect. USA Connect is the originator of the calls. I have only found a USA Connect in New York, and one in Ervine, CA. Both of these Companies deny any involvement with 900 Direct, and are aware of the situation.
