My husband contacted Craig Forchetti since the heater in our jacuzzi was not working well. He decided to go ahead with him since he beyond the fact that he sounded professional and reliable on the phone, he also promised to deduct the price of the inspection from the price of fixing the problem.

Well, his guy came for 15 minutes, broke the front wall of the jacuzzi while taking it apart, charged for the inspection 418$ just to come back asking for 1,800$ for a minor problem to fix, and demanded only cash or a check on the spot.

I tried calling a few numbers on the list of 11 "branches" listed on the A-1 pools & spas website after that absurdly priced visit, to ask how much is an inspection since I knew they scammed us for the visit price. Well, as it turned out, all numbers lead to only one guy, the same Craig Forchetti. And interesting enough, he was the only person, out of all the service guys I called before to get a quote, that refused to give me a direct quote for a visit service and instead asked me a bunch of questions. Other service guys, as it turned out, charge 70$ for a visit.

After posting my feedback online mister Forchetti had the nerve to call my husband screaming and yelling and threatening to take legal action. Legal action for what exactly? Mister Craig Forchetti, here's a thought- if you want to avoid negative reviews perhaps don't scam your customers...? After googling this guy it seems like he has a long history of scamming people in the same way he scammed me and changing the name of his company (used to be Craig Forchetti Pools, All Pools service company) and his own name (Vince Forchetti, Ed, Bob). My guess is that each time his old company gets to many bad reviews due to his scamming ways he simply goes and opens the same company with a different name.

Since he seems like a pro at this type of activity and since it seems like a way of life for him, I lost hope of getting back my money. Would like to warn other inoccent people out there from falling into his trap.

Owner trying to cheat a1 pools for free diagnostics on spa

AUTHOR: a1 pools - (U.S.A.)

A1 Pools and Spas performed a Diagnostic on This Persons Spa . Upon our arrival we noticed the wood front access panel had a 2" chip in the upper right corner before we touched anything. Our Certified Spa electronics specialist performed the Diagnostic on the Spa equiptment and Found the the Primary Problem.A1 Pools provided details to Homeowner along with Part model numbers. Now that homeowner knows problem from our diagnostics service call , he wants to attempt to order parts and do repair inorder to save money. It is clear that owner  wanted to get some of the diagnostic fee back. The diagnostic fee was for services rendered and as agreed and explained only goes toward any of the repairs needed.Owner then try to blame us for the 2" chip on front access panel and also existing damages to rear panel as well, which we had no reason to remove. Even though our contract stipulates that a1 pools is not responsible for front access panel damage in removal attempt I did offer (in good faith) to return and repair the 2" wood chip that was not caused by us and was existing prior to our arrival free of any charge.. The Owner then threatened that he would Slander our Company in ny times and via internet if we would not give him the full Diagnostic fee back . Later I recieved an email from his girlfriend requesting to give partlial diagnostic fee back or she will continue to slander our good name as well.

The owner signed Contract that they were satisfied with Diagnostic fee charged for our services rendered. We are liscensed and 100 % legitimate company operating since 1967 and hold many both Commercial and Residential certifications for every type of Pool and Spas repair and renovation application.

If you had a electical problem with your car and took it to a mechanic and they diagnosed what the problem was and you fix it yourself you still have to pay for the Diagnostic fee.

I never screamed or threatened the owner rather they threatened me that they would continue to slander our company. To date two slander reviews were placed by these people against A1 Pools which were turned over to our Attorney for review of  pursuing defemation slander charges against them if we experiance loss buisness as a result of their unjust slander review.
