Aaron & Gold Promised services for a $250 fee and did not deliver. Will not refund money . Internet, Wisconsin

    I just paid Aaron & Gold $250 on bank draft on a promise that they would keep me out of court and settle with a collections company that was sueing me over medical bills.  I heard of them, as Joel (an agent for them)sent me a postcard in the mail.  He must have gotten a list of people in my region whom were served with court papers.  I am in Il and he is in WI.

    I expressed to Joel that I had no interest in payment plans, that I wanted to settle on a fair amount and that I would then be able to pay that in one lump sum.  He promised that I would not even have to appear in court, that they would take care of everything.

    He then directed me to another office in CA to a lady named Nina.  I faxed her all my info that applied to my case.  She had an ample amount of time and did NOTHING.  She only called me twice and this was after calling her numerous times just to get a call back.  The whole time, "she was working on it"  I was told. 

    My court was on a Monday, she called me the Friday before and informed me I had to appear and that she did not make a settlement for me.  I appeared and the plaintiffs attorney had no information that I was even represented by them, nor had they ever spoken to Nina or anyone there at Aaron & Gold!?!  I am now in the same boat I was in prior to dealing with them, minus $250.

   When asked for my money back, I was told that they feel like they earned it and that I cannot have it back.  I was also told by Nina thet she usually deals with credit card companies and that dealing over medical bills and insurance was not her forte and that Joel (the agent)should not have made these promises.   Needless to say, they will not give my money back.

   If you receive a card from Aaron & Gold and are in need of legal help, I would assume you are reading this to check that they are a trustworthy company.  Do not make the same mistake that I did and waste your money on them.  I paid for NOTHING.  I cannot say it any plainer then that. What a waste of money and time.
