My husband and I applied for a loan a year ago, and ACS Inc. told us they would give us a $5000.00 loan for a money wire of $200.00. The first guy we talked to was a smooth talker and though I was weary, my husband was convinced he was legit. In the end we gave away ALL of his personal info- SSN, birthdate, bank account numbers, employer info etc. Everything we figured we would need to give a loan agency... well, by the time we were done, they had basically asked us for almost $1400 dollars to get the loan started. I told my husband not to give him ANY more money and to report it. We got a call a few hours later, and they had told us that since we verbally signed a contract we had to pay the rest or they would sue us.

After several days of back and forth, we had to cancel all of our bank accounts and put flags on our credit scores so we would be notified if they were trying to get into. Since then, we have had several things bought online and sent to addresses in Florida and Maryland that we never purchased. We have credit and loan agencies calling us allllllllll the time because they used an unsecure network.

TODAY my husband got an email saying if we didnt respond within 48 hours we would be sued over an outstanding loan amount of $3400.00. So he called the number and it went straight to some Asian guy that knew all his info before my husband even had a chance to tell him. When my husband said no, this is scam, the guy hung up and has yet to answer his phone again. They said we can settlet the 3400 for only 900, and blah blah blah. Because they had all of our credit info from the first time they scammed us, they know we do have a balance with the real ACS, which is for student loans, in which we are current on. We called the ACS we have been making payments to for the past 4 years and they said DO NOT GIVE the EMAIL ACS ANY MONEY! They have had several people think they settled thier debt and learn that they just gave a grand to a scam team of heartless people.

PLEASE be aware of these people and never give money to someone that says you owe it, until you do your homework and never give money to someone that says they are going to sue you! I worked as a debt collector for 4 years and if we say we are going to sue, we are going to send you a certifued letter with the court and you will have a file number, a case number and one last chance to pay before we sit down and go over payment options. You will not be sued VIA EMAIL!!! There is no such thing!

IF you have fallen victim to ACS Inc. please freeze or cancel your bank accounts and get your credit flagged. IT SAVED US.

Visa, Western Union, and Wire Transfer were all methods of payment they had us use, please be mindful!
