The owner of the company is telling actors that his course is what the entertainment industry is looking for. He is useing the students inhis school to spread his message and at the same time ruining the potential careers of his students. He also lied about his background. I have quotes form very notable industry professionals who say this man, Tim lampros/Hughes, Owner of the studio is a scam artist and should not be in business.

He also refuses to pay his employees.

Actors Certified training

AUTHOR: truambitions - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, February 12, 2013

I attended this class and still to this day respect the detail and organization of the class.  I was there before all of the improvements and sets were built but enjoyed the three that were there. Ive booked jobs using many of the techniques I studied in this class. If Tim was or wasn't friends with people in the "biz" didn't matter to me because i wasn't there to make friends with his friends but to take my career to a higher level and learn something other than what the other classes had taught me which was becoming repetitive. The class  has a lot to offer a new and used actor. As far as not paying his employees .. The ones there when i went there were  some of the most happy people i knew... down for the cause kind.  How do we know what there personal agreements were. This class was great  for me and if he lied about who he is i know he didn't lie about the tools you'll get to use to further your career. How is he ruining potential careers? If your good  you can only get better. If your not sure you can blame others till you figure out how to use every moment to you advantage . Don't waste your money on things that don't interest you. And if you do trust yourself make it work its worth it.

Actors Certified Training rebuttal!

AUTHOR: John Mitchell - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, March 10, 2010

This report was written by a disgruntled former employee who uses the Internet to blast his former employers. He has a history of posting derogatory information under different names about the companies that have fired him, which are numerous. He was fired by the owner of the company for using bait and switch tactics to bring actors in for presentations that are used to demonstrate the techniques taught by the school. These techniques have been applauded by many industry professionals as true and absolutely necessary for an actor to succeed in the Industry. Please see the company website for quotes from Industry professionals...

http://www.actorscertifiedtraining.com/agents_managers.html

as well as actors who have attended the school...

http://www.actorscertifiedtraining.com/testimonials.html

And please feel free to contact myself or any of the other employees at the school to verify this information.

Actors Certified Training

AUTHOR: Dan - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, March 03, 2010

This report was filed by an ex-employee who was fired because he tried to defraud the company, steal its intellectual property and go into a competing business.  He was found out and fired before he could complete his plan.  This man is a complete fraud.

A.C.T. continues to train actors based on methods Mr. Lampros developed in his 20 year career in the movie industry.  He started as an on-set medic and worked his way up to Director, Writer and Producer.  He does not teach acting, he teaches "how to get the shot."  This business is far more subtle and nuanced than many people believe, including Michael.

Please, feel free to visit the website and see for yourself.  Also, please keep an eye out for our free on-camera workshops.  You can experience for yourself what it really takes to be an on-camera actor.  We never charge for these events; we don't believe it's ethical.

Not everyone who starts is able to complete our 16 week course, but the ones who do are better actors for it.  This is about professional training to be one of the highest paid workers in the world.

Tim Lampros

AUTHOR: 1st Class - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, July 08, 2009

I was a bit hesitant to post here but hey, nobody knows who I am (except for the few that were in my class)

About Tim: He's a cheat and a liar. He cheated on his fiancee Karen soooo many times. That poor girl. My God and she's so pretty too. Either way, the guys a jerk and lied about who he is. He really is a sad excuse for a human being and an even sadder excuse for an acting coach. Why would anyone take classes from a set medic? God if I only knew back then what I know now. There are plenty of classes out there that are worth the high prices. Though this assholes class was only around 800 dollars, it still wasn't worth the time. Casting Directors actually laughed when I told them what he was teaching. Last I heard the studio burnt to the ground. Thanks be to the Lord! Anyone who's anyone is on IMDB. If you're not listed on IMDB you're not REALLY in the business. Seriously, the GUY HAS NO CREDITS! such a scum bucket. It sickens me that he saw me naked:(

It's amazing how stupid and jaded some people are. I was forwarded an e-mail from the owner of this acting school. This is a comment he made to a former student. Unfortunately I don't know who the student was. Either way, it came from Tim Lamprose.....

"I have loaded the biggest CANNON I have in this industry and it is aimed at "your reputation" right now and is ready to be fired. Once it is fired...you will never survive as an actor in this town! You may or may not believe this...I suggest you not even tempt me"

" I do hold myself responsible for a large part in this fall out"

How could a TEACHER, that actors should hold a high respect for, threaten a student in a business that is basically impossible to succeed in? It's pathetic. This school should be shut down.

About me: I worked with this guy on several different projects. He's a nobody and is one of those typical wanna be types who actually thinks he holds any respect in the industry.

To the guy who was threatened: Don't worry about him. It's takes a lot more then one person to ruin a career. Honestly, it's nothing to worry about.

Actor's Certified Training

POSTED: Monday, February 16, 2009

This report is nonsense, from a former employee of the company that was dishonest and tried to rip off the company. I'd love to see any proof of this persons allegations. I'm very sure "Michael" isn't even this person's real name.

#4 UPDATE EX-employee responds

RE: ACT has changed my life!!!! HAHAHAHA

AUTHOR: Beverly - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, December 29, 2008

I used to work for Tim Lampros. I swear the guy is such a scam artist. I have since moved to New York and have been much better off. I know all of his ex employees and I know what they are going through. This guy is complete scum. He would have sex with his students, I can't begin to tell you how many times this creep cheated on his fiancee (who let him borrow 50 grand!!!) and he also LIED about his background. The guy is a nobody and has NO connections in the entertainment business. I worked for this loser way back when he started in Marina Del Rey, we were called "Actors Boot Camp". He's since changed the name several times. Last I heard it was Actors Certified Training but knowing this guy he's probably changed the name again. He claims to be a director but he only directed this piece of crap helicopter thing. The movie was garbage and hes a horrible director. First year film students have more experience then he does. Anyone and I mean ANYONE who still goes to this school or works at this school, knowing all this man has done to former employees and students, is a loser as well and is probably just as useless in the entertainment business as Tim Lampros. One more thing, the loser apparently wrote a book. He used one of those self publishing companies but claims to have a real publisher. I actually bought the piece of crap to see how far out there his mind is getting. WOW! This guy basically claims to have invented Film and TV. A true LOSER!!!!

#3 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Why have 3 last names if you are not a scam artist?

AUTHOR: Tonyv67 - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, September 11, 2008

My name is Tony and I am a former employee of Tim Lamprose/Hughes/Silver. I can confirm the first poster's remarks that he misleads his employees and students to believe that greatness for the company is right around the corner, and when that happens everyone will enjoy the benefits...but that NEVER happens. Tim is a great sales person, a great speaker and a great liar. He will promise you the world, and keep you chasing the worm like a fish wondering why you can never catch it. If you have gotten better while attending his class, it is not because he is some great visionary, it is because you have ability as an actor and you are putting in a LOT of time to improve your abilities. I can tell anyone who is interested the truth now, because I am no longer in California pursuing this career, so he can no longer attempt to destroy my reputation....which he did attempt once I left the company. Tim is a bitter deceitful man who will stop at nothing for his OWN personal gain. If he cares about your success, it is only to benefit him and sucker more unknowing people into his class.

Tim kept telling me not to worry about money, and that he would get me taken care of. And that when the company takes off the way it's supposed to, that we would all look back on these times and laugh. Well, I am laughing now, but at how naive I was to believe this man. My loyalty to him destroyed my credit, made me lose my apartment, and damaged my reputation in the industry as well as to many friends whom he turned against me through his lies and slanderous comments. At first I thought I was alone in this, and maybe I was the one who was crazy...but as I talked to more and more people, I found I was not an isolated case and their stories were oddly similar to mine.

If you want to take his class, fine, I would never tell an actor not to be practicing his or her craft. However, whatever you choose, do not trust this man and his lies. He will try to make you believe that his way is the only way to get you on track to the career of your dreams, and that you should invest more time and more money than you are capable of...and that if you do not, you are an outcast from his group and will never be committed enough to reach your goals. Be weary of his mind games and how he will try to manipulate you. I'm sure you can work your skills just as hard at many different classes in the LA area though, so do your research and be careful of Messiah acting teachers.

I have proof this place is a SCAM!!!!

AUTHOR: Michael - (U.S.A.)

I have a copy of a lawsuit that states the owner admitted to not paying his employees. Yes this man was a set medic but he leads actors to believe he was much more which in fact he was not.

A.C.T. has changed my life.

AUTHOR: Actonit - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, June 16, 2008

A.C.T. is the best class i have ever attended. Tim has been very open and honest with use about his past as a medict on set and along with other jobs he has done. He has hired proffessional Directors to instruct us as well so we can work under different ways of teaching. Since i have been a part of this class my booking rate has ssky rocketed and i have no regrets of joining it. I infact moved out here a year and a half ago and taken many classes that have tought me crap. A.C.T. has just infact been endorsed by the TMA which has never happend before. They are not scam artist and infact i know his employees very well since I have been going there for the last 6 months and they are all paid.
