Hello,

I was once a member of AFF for a couple of years but in all that time I met only two people. Most of the so called members (aka bots) who contacted me on the site just redirect you to other sites that require payment to enter.

So what the others here on Rip-off are saying is all true. I can vouch for that.

My complaint is that AFF or AdultFriendFinder will not remove my old account. It has been deleted for over a year now and they still won't remove it. They call it "deleted" but it still shows up if you search for it. I believe they even changed the add a bit, creating a new title and so on.

Im attaching the e-mail conversation I had with their Customer Service (bots?)

Their customer service replies were often canned as you can see. Also notice how they all sign their names the same way.

I've removed references to my city and account since it still shows up even today. (July 29 2006)
I've even gone so far as to try to get the account restored (so I can at least edit it and remove the pictures)but you can't do that either. At least the pictures aren't dirty. I just don't want them posted on that site any more with whatever they decide to make up as my interests.

E-mail conversation follows . . .

==================
I checked again . . . it's still there.
Just search for male 30 in ***** zip code. it will show up.
Of course I can't log back in to the account because it says it is deleted.
So what's up with that? If its deleted how does it still show up?
And if it is deleted how come you can't use that screen name again? (
tried to recreate the account and delete it again)
It has been over a year now and the ad is still there.

I had thought of maybe rejoining the site but if this is how you treat old
members forget it.

John

Other things about Adult Friend Finder

AUTHOR: Mike - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, July 30, 2006

Here is another few things about them that I think should be cause enough for them to be investigated for at the least false advertising...

1. Their ads all show pictures of girls. However, these girls are not part of their network. How do I know? Because I recently saw one that had a picture of "katie" from an adulot website.

2. The girls they advertise in "your area" are not REALLY from your area. The ad looks at where you log in from and use that ISP area to determine what city to "advertise". I live in NJ and went to TN last week and the same girl showed up in an ad for "jersey City" and "Nashville". I guess she gets around.

Kinda obvious: They want the site to appear "popular".

AUTHOR: Thomas - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, July 29, 2006

You must have thought that site was "popular", no?

If no one else had profiles there, would you have joined? Who wants to be first? Who wants to be alone?

Maybe 99% of the other profiles that appear there are also "deleted"??
