Aetna ripoff does not pay disability claims victimized many consumers Hartford Connecticut

I have MS. I am on part-time disability due to MS. Aetna initially paid my disability claim, but there were problems from the beginning. They continually paid my monthly benefit late or not in full. My policy includes a COLA (Cost of living adjustment) provision. I fought with them for 6 monthes before they made the adjustment. At one point during that period they indicated I did not understand the adjustment. I have a Masters in Economics & graduated top 10 in my class.

Eventually they denied my claim based on a provision which they stated read that once I reached 60% of my pre-disability income benefits would cease. The policy read 80%. They stated 60% is industry standard. I retained an attorney & my benefits have been reinstated (only after suit was filed).

I am certain there are MANY disabled people out there who have gotten no where with Aetna. READ your policy. Aetna is likely to be telling less than the truth.

I have stacks of paperwork detailing Aetna's dishonest handling of my claim. As clear as denying the received mail from me - certified mail for which they signed!
