Aimco Clutch or should be known as Defective R' Us Just installed a 6puck in a 1999 honda prelude No small task! Pulled the car forward then in reverse all seemed well until I left the parking lot of our shop and did not even get the car up past 20mph and a pop rang out then a grind and low and behold cant put the shifter into any gear! Turns out after reading the box its a Aimco clutch with a XTD sticker, got straight on the web went to google typed in Aimco clutch found this site with a guy stating this is what happens with this company his description of what the disk did was spot on! 6puck material broke right off. I removed the sight plug to see the flywheel and theres a brand new shiny rivet with material right in plain sight. This car was not driven hard nore was the clutch dropped as stated above the honda did not even reach over 20mph I was turning onto a side street when it broke apart. Do Not Waste Your Time and money on these products I warn clients not to buy Ebay hard parts sad to see this happen to anyone. the clutch kit did have a factory stock pressure plate painted red and a factory throwout, seemed to be there own disk(What broke) and alignment tool.
