The Akai Rice informercial claims the rice is a low-glycemic index product. That is misleading. In fact, the rice consists of 38 grams of carbs per serving. That's a lot of carbs for someone with diabetes. The rice tastes awful, btw.

They apparently do not have a fixed price; prices range from$150-$180 per box.
