Albany Mortgage Group - Susan Gale This company will turn out to be a huge waste of your time if you use them Albany New York

I found AMG (albany mortgage group) in the phone book. I needed a mortgage and called them. BIG MISTAKE!

I was assured by Susan Gale that she could close the mortgage in the time frame that I needed. After wasting an incredible amount of time and $650 ($325 for a home inspection & $325 for an appraisal) the deal fell through.

I'm thoroughly discusted with AMGs lack of customer service. They rarely initiated contact with me. I almost always had to call and/or email them and then wait for a response. Many times the response was days or weeks later.

Realize that this was a "short sale" home purchase and time was of the essense. AMG knew this from day one and assured us they could handle it. The foreclosure bank approved our offer on the property on 11/7/08. They gave us 2 weeks to close on the property. Still, AMG assured us they could make it happen. The 2 week deadline came and went with no mortgage from AMG. Our lawyer got a 2 day extension. AMG blew that date too. Our lawyer requested another 2 day extension from the foreclosure bank. Yet again, AMG didn't deliver what they promised. Our lawyer reluctantly got us a final 2 day extension but AMG still couldn't handle getting the mortgage!

Not only did AMG cost us $650 of our own cash, many hours of wasted time and many extra grey hairs... but AMGs lack of professionalism and customer service also COST US THE PROPERTY WE WERE HOPING TO CALL HOME FOR YEARS TO COME!

At this point, we have not spoken with anyone from AMG in 8 days or received an email from AMG in 6 days. They couldn't even call or email and say they were sorry for completely screwing up this home sale.

To say we are unhappy with Susan Gale and Albany Mortgage Group is an understatement.
