I LOVE SHOPPING and I LOVE TO GET MY MONEY’S WORTH. I don’t think anyone would be alright if they did not.

It all started from a single purchase that I made couple of months ago. I was supposed to use this Zensa Numbing Cream for a laser treatment on my face but my jaw literally dropped when I opened my package. There was no seal on the box and the tube itself! It escalated very quickly to a complaint! I am very picky with items I order especially if it’s a medical product. Receiving an item without a seal could mean a lot of things – it could be that it was used by someone, tampered while in transit, poor handling, and worst–a tube from a bad batch!

Technically, Zensa is considered a pharmaceutical product because of the lidocaine in it. I am not a nurse nor a doctor nor someone from the medical field but I do know, and it is not a rocket science, that pharmaceutical products should comply with very strict Quality Control – from choosing the raw materials, formulation and to the distribution to the mainstream market. Any incident reported that the product has caused harm to the consumer is detrimental to the longevity of the company.  So sad that Zensa is being advertised elaborately but the people behind the brand clearly do not even care whether the customers are receiving the quality that they promised. This should not be expected from a startup company trying to make a dent in this kind of industry. Very disappointing, indeed.

But if you guys think, that this is everything I am so unhappy about, you are quite mistaken as the saga continues. Naturally, the right thing to do after receiving a product in such extremely unsatisfactory state is to report it to the company to let them do something about. Oh boy, these cheap fellas were nowhere to be contacted. It was so terrible that they were not even responsive! Perhaps my money was too insignificant for them for me to have better service?

At this point I was compelled to dig deeper about this company Zensa and I stumbled upon this company called Alera Skin Care Inc. who seemed to be the manufacturer but I could not find any information about this company and appears to have no background whatsoever.

It was already the day of my appointment and there was nothing on my hand to ease the much anticipated pain. Unfortunately, the clinic where I booked my appointment does not have a practice of putting any numbing agent on the skin but they allow the client to bring their own. So for me, As embarrassing as it was, I did not have better choice but to use what I have on hand.

This is where the picture got uglier, this product did nothing for me!

I've tried it twice now, the second time thinking maybe I didn't apply correctly the first time. Following the instructions, I applied a generous layer, waited 5 minutes and applied another generous layer. I then wrapped it with plastic wrap and let it sit for 1 1/2 hours. No numbing whatsoever. Don't waste your money, too expensive to take a chance.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND this product to anyone. It is a COMPLETE TRASH. It is clearly a scam product that doesn't numb at all.

This product is sold at different price range everywhere.  Some are selling for $15, $35-$45 and another place @ $70.  They appear to have a few different alias, zensa, alera skin or AVD enterprise.  It seems to be all same guys.

I really thought they had some incredible formula as they claimed and because I bought it at such high price tag I wanted to at least find out and see justification of how they priced their products.  I looked up to see what their real formula was all about.  Guys, don't waste your money.  This product does not deserve to be sold be sold more than $5.  It is selling any lidocaine product you can buy at Walmart for $5.

Stay away from these con-artists and spend your money elsewhere.
