On August 5, 2008 I received services from All American Moving and Storage (Alleviate Van Lines). The crew showed up late, looked very tired, and had no food and water. The crew did not take a physical inventory of my personal belongings resulting in losses which go way beyond the $507 settlement agreed upon between me and the Customer Service Manager, Angie. Also, the furniture was loaded in such a way that my brand new end tables, BBQ grill, and dining room table was damaged during the move.

I contacted Angie shortly after to file for a settlement. She and agreed to a $507 settlement by making estimates on the weights of all boxes and furniture that was lossed or damaged in the move. The paper work has been processed and I still have not been paid and we are going over 7 months.

Every time I call Angie to follow up on my settlement she gives me the run around. I have heard excuses like: the accounting department is not here today, the company is being sold and the checking accounts are frozen, we did not have your correct address, etc., etc.

She is a shameful customer service manager, being very complacent and she never returns phone calls. In the seven months of daily and weekly call ins to her, she has called me back only once. I feel as though my issues with this company are a burden to her rather than a priority, and she refuses to take quick resolution.

I have also uncovered lies. She told me that I could not speak with anyone higher than her. When I asked who the owner of the company was she told me he was out of the country. Then someone else the very next day said he was at home sick, that he had suffered a heart attack??? Okay?

I am still waiting on my settlement so that I can at least purchase some new -undamaged end tables. Hopefully other victims will speak out about irresponsible companies such as this one, so that all consumers can be more aware and protected....and, I hope companies that have access to these reports find other positions for the "Angie" that they might have working for them so that their image is not so tarnished.
