My credit card bill from Capital One has been overdue for a year and a half now. Just recently Alliance One has been trying to contact me, which they have through my mother (which had no knowledge of my credit bill).

I owed them almost $700 in charges which were mostly that $35-$40 surcharge thing. The first time I talked to someone it was a man by the name of Michael. He was nice and easy to talk to. Michael and I worked out an agreement with Capital One that if I could pay my remaining balance of $521 dollars on the spot that we could close the agreement and I wouldnt have to recieve or worry about this ever again. I told him I only had $400 and asked if this would work until I could work enough to pay the extra $121 off.

He told me thats fine as long as I had it in by the end of February. I told him that my paychecks had been not right (due to my work going through new experiments in payroll) and he said thats fine. I'll give you till 3-6-06 which I agreed with.

I did even better than $121 and saved $150 for him so when he called back I could settle this matter. He made the payment (taking my info again like with the $400 dollar payment, such as acct numbers and routing numbers of my checking account) and said that id recieve a letter in the mail stating i was done with Aliiance One and my account was settled.

I had put my $150 in my checking account which totaled to roughly $153. and some odd cents. We agreed to a payment of 153 dollars so my account wouldnt close at the bank.

Almost two weeks later he's now saying that my account had insuffient funds and i need to pay them the 150 dollars again.....i am NOT willing to do that I am struggling to get by as it is! It's a miracle I could spare that much! Not to mention i had to do without groceries for two weeks! He told me he postdated the check for the 15th (of march im guessing he didnt tell me the month) for 153 dollars even, but when they went to try and get the cash on 3-15-06 my account said i had no money in there.

I dont think it sounds right and i will not pay them until everything clears. I am going to the bank tomorrow to try and see if i still have my 153 dollars in there or if it was withdrawn and they are trying to scam my a*s.......

Hopefully someone can help me and try and aide me on what to do next if in fact they did withdraw my money and is trying to make his quota. I will update within a few business days. I cant afford this........And the bigger question of this complaint is:

HOW DO THEY SLEEP AT NIGHT???????????????????
