AllianceOne Harassment and verbal abuse Mendota Heights Minnesota

Nate Everts, Senior Collections Agent from AllianceOne Corp contacted me in December (after already calling and insulting my husband who name is NOT on this account) about a credit card account that I had hired CDS and their attorneys ( a Debt consolidation firm) to negotiate on my behalf one year ago.

After the first phone call with him in which he would not let me get a word in because he was to busy insulting me, I faxed him all the information in which to get in touch with CDS so he could negotiate a settlement amount with them on my behalf. I explained to him in the letter that I hired them and their attorneys to do this for me and he was not to call me directly from this point on.

According to The Fair Debt Collections Practices Act, once a collection agency is aware that a Law Firm has been hired, the collection agency is suppose to stop all contact directly with the person. Nate has called, and called, and called continuously since I've sent that letter. CDS in the mean time negotiated an amount with them on my behalf that I refused because AllianceOne wanted full payment and I don't have it in my account with CDS to pay them in full, so I need CDS to re-negotiate a payment plan with AllianceOne.

Nate called my work phone again today, after I told him to LOSE my work number. I spoke to him, explained to him AGAIN he needed to contact CDS directly. He said that "they have never returned my calls". I said to him, "I find that ironic since they have already sent me an offer of settlement from you" .....

At that point, Nate became EXTREMLY angry (because he was caught in a lie I suppose) , he would not let me speak, so I told him to be quiet for a second so I could actually talk to him, I told him that he is breaking the law by contacting me after he knew I hired a debt consolidation firm that is represented by a Lawyer. He said they don't have a Lawyer. I have all the legal paperwork to prove they are represented by a Lawyer, In which I gave him all the information. He then said, "I'm filing you away as client refuses to pay" and then hung up on me while I was speaking.

This company (Nate Everts) is RUDE, HARRASSING and UNWILLING to work in a civilized manor. I am not refusing to pay my debt, I am however rufusing to be treated as a low life, scum bag by some idiot who has absolutely idea how to communicate as a normal human being.
