Ok so it starts out with a simple reply email (which in this job market comes as exciting news) with the statements that your qualifications fit their request and they would like to schedule an interview. The email is from a company called "Alonti International". Call them back and the receptionist will schedule an interview right off the bat with no questions asked. Now you drive to University and I 75 in Auburn Hills to a business road with plenty of respectable companies and firms. You will enter the Ranal building and find the appropriate suite number with multiple business names on the glass door. You will fill out a short form and attach you resume when turning it in... along with several other poor schmucks wasting their time. After waiting for about 20 minutes and listening to VH1 unprofessionally blarring through the lobby, a man will call you and one other potential employee for a double interview. For me I met with a man named Nick. After a very short and vague meeting I left. I recieved a call back around 8 ish that friday evening while christmas shopping. Again a very short conversation with a different girl than the first receptionist I spoke with. She told me that I was qualified for the job and wanted to schedule a second interview in which they refer to as a "job shadow". I replied "yes" and they scheduled me for the odd time of 10:15 monday morning. All along I had a strange feeling about the company but I continued... having a difficult time turning down on a potential opportunity in this economy which I am sure this is what they feed off of!! I made sure to get up bright and early so I could do a quick internet search prior to my appointment to investigate why my insticnt was throwing a red flag. Sure enough I googled the business and at the top of the results I see a list of "rip off" reports (not a link to the company's website like most other legit businesses)! Thanks to this site I read horror stories of how the job shadow becam a day leading late into the evening of door to door sales and standing outside of businesses such as a Kroger grocery store selling coupon books rediculously priced!!!!!! Needless to say they are an "Advertising and Marketing firm"... how they do business is another story! check out the other reports, the structure of my interview story and even some of the names match up. I definately called and said I would not be showing up today and will continue job searching and checking this site before each interview! THANK YOU!!!

Here is THE truth

AUTHOR: Watt D Fark - (U.S.A.)

I work in the same building (for a legit company) as Boss/Alonti/whatever their name du jour is. We call them "the cult".

And whenever I walk by that office, I'm tempted to get the attention of the poor souls waiting to be "interviewed" and say RUN! GET OUT WHILE YOU CAN!

And Boss Exec--if you guys are so great, why are you so secretive during your interviews? Every single person mentions that they were not told what they would be doing, even if they asked directly.

I currently work for Alonti International, so let me fill you in on the facts. We do three interviews, the first is just a preliminary screening, in which we eliminate a mojority of the applicants we recieve. The second interview, IS a full day job shadowing experience. We do this because we believe in being open and honest with every aspect of our business and what we do. There can be no question at the end of the day as to whether or not we revealed everything to you, you've seen it first hand. Also, we understand that our company is not a place for everyone and does not fit with every individuals goals, if thats the case with you, we've found its better to find that out before we hire you and waste both your time and our money training you. If you don't appreciate the fact that we are open about our business structure, or believe that we shouldn't give you an insider look into what we do before making a decision to accept a position, please let us know and we'll take it under consideration. The third is a very quick sit down with one of our managers, who after receiving our trainers report on your performance will ask you a few questions and make a final decision as to whether or not to offer you a position with our company.
