I bought a used 07 subaru outback from altech in march of 2015, for 10k plus a 1k warrenty.  It lasted just over a year before I had to replace the head gaskets and then the entire engine.  The salesman talked up the car and the warranty.  He told me the car was in good condition and would last for another 100k miles at least, and that the warranty would cover everything that could happen completely.  Well, on top of only lasting about 20k miles before serious problems started, the warrenty service was a nightmare to deal with and would only cover about 40% of repair costs. My mechanic said in 3 decades of working on cars, it was the worst warranty service he had ever seen. This dealer is shady and will do anything to sell a car and tack on the crap warranty.  Do not buy from them.

Really?

AUTHOR: Really - (USA)

So you bought a used car and had issues after a year?  You stated this within your own post.  Did you by chance have a mechanic that you trust look at it before buying the car?  Of course you didn't because you would have otherwise have mentioned it.  Be thankful that a used car lasted a year.  You also stated that you put roughly 20,000 miles on the car.  That is a hell of a lot of mileage to put on a car in a year, even if it is a newer car.  Shame on you for not having the car checked out by a mechanic before hand and trusting what the salesperson was telling you.

They Told You In Advance Of Their "Honesty"!

AUTHOR: Jim - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, May 30, 2016

Check your paperwork.  Did it include an add-on, bogus, phoney fee of $500 for alleged "processing"?  They are playing one of the con-games which made Bogus Billy Heard famous.  It works like this:  They advertise a dollar figure for a car which they represent as the "price".  Guess what?  It isn't!  Its a FAKE price.  To buy the car, you must pay them an additional "fee" of $500.  The REAL price of the car is what they represent it as plus this bogus fee.

They give this bogus fee an official sounding name in order to con you into thinking its legitimate.  It isn't!  They don't have the honesty or integrity to post the real price of the car.  Instead, they LIE about it by making it lower than what they really want but make up the difference with their bogus fee.  When a dealership lacks the integrity to do business honestly, all bets are off.  They tell the world they are LIARS playing the bogus fee con game.  As such, they cannot be trusted...PERIOD!
