I received a call from a company called American Financial stating that I had been approved for a government grant in the amount of $7,500. The company claims that they are an independent organization that gives out government grants to those who quallify and that they have no affiliation with the government but yet they just give out grants from the government.

The person I spoke to assured me that it was not a scam and that I would receive my $7,500 grant as soon as I pay a one time processing fee of $279.95 to take care of the paper work and when taken out for me to call with my confirmation # and would be replaced by the $7,500 within a week.

Well The time came when they took the money out of my account in the amount of $279.95. So I called them back with my confirmation # all they said was that I qualify to be CONSIDERED for a government grant and when I told them I was assured I would receive the $7,500 they said that was not true and that the $279.95 was a onetime processing fee.

So I called them back and told them I wanted the money put back in my account imediately or they would be hearing from my lawyer and they assured they would but I had a feeling they would'nt. So I went to my bank the same day of the transaction and talked to a personal banker and explained the situation and they removed the $279.95 now this can only be done if u catch it the same day of the withdrawl.

This company is a scam all together trying to take our hard earned money. I couldn't fing anything on the web about them what so ever and the people I spoke to sounded like they were from India with a harsh acsent. Dont believe them it is all a scam and to good to be true.
