Setting the group to closed makes sharing Kingdom level events made IN the group impossible

It also doesn't allow people to share events made outside

(by hitting share they have to open the event and invite people.)

Now people who are active in amtgard perhaps in Land Level Groups on facebook but are not in the Kingdom Level Group can't see posts.

If someone is suspended or banned - not on the Yahoo lists etc

can not get event details online.

Their FB fan page does not list events (currently)

The admins of the FB group deny profiles that do not show enough info as they could be spam bots or fake profiles --- understaable BUT they say nothing. They need to message people and find out if they are someone new who found amtgard online got on the site and clicked the instructions "Join us on Faacebook"

People would then say contact the leaders/admins

this is about a group that's open to the public turning away potential new people instead of welcomeing them. Other Larps are open to the public and some are closed

If new people are learing about larps online and someone sends them a friendly welcome message asking about them they are more likely to join that group.

about me: amtgard NL has locked down their group because the links to it in the other reports about it on this site and other unfavorable postings I have made.

Instead of talking to be they tried to ban me - the postings reflect this. It is not just new potential players who are being scared off from the group. I have been told probably 1000 times to quit.

we had a friend kill herself and I get random anonymous email telling me “if I could get away with one murder, for free without penalty, I would order a "Most painful death imaginable" for you.  Seriously.  I f**king hate you and think you should go kill yourself. “ You can read the whole email(s) and see how that was handled by the Northern Lights in the updates

My goal is not to trash Amtgard
Its to give new people warnings about the dangers
and get the attention on the issues
*abuse and neglect of the people joining

The people in power now like Sam - continue to act as if the groups reputation is in my hands and as if punishing me for publicly posting negative feedback the truth is there is the world is a lot bigger then the game
-My ongoing emails going back 6-7 years asking people to do something about underage drinking
asking people to mentor new players
and all of my hard work IN and OUT of the group are visible
so is the trash talking they are doing of me and of people associated with me

This has made me no longer nider myself a member and it has made the group look bad
*They think contacting conventions my work etc and bashing me will make me look bad
get me fired?

It has made it very hard for Amtgard players to see the big picture.
How amtgard fits into the larger community.
Some how trashing people who give the group discounts seems like a bad idea.
 but what do I know I’ve never stolen from the group and had my knights belt taken.
