Anderson Law Group has continuosly harrassed me sending emails claiming that I am in debt to a loan company. They threaten to garnish and freeze all my bank accounts and threaten to take me to court if I do not respond. They also ask me to verify my mailing address so they can send me court papers.

I understand all of that. However, there's no proof that I took this loan. No one from the firm has called me at home or at my job. This is information that's required to apply for a loan...correct? I'm not hiding anywhere. This is what legit loan companies would do if money was owed to them. THEY CALL. That's the point I'm trying to make. So I'm supposed to give someone money behind an email? I don't think so. I thought this was a consumer advocacy site. I didn't join to receive a condescending response..

Well have YOU defaulted on a loan recently?/ If you have, how can ANY of this be a shock to YOU. If someone owed YOU money and did not pay, YOU would also take them to court in order to get back what is legally owed to YOU. So a "Distressing" email is your issue. If they are ready to go to court, then guess what, they have given YOU ample opportunity to pay back said loan. IF you have taken a loan then THIS is the consiquences of NOT paying it. Now I will address the other side. IF you have NOT taken a loan, then YOU need to file a police report. YOU may be the victim of ID theft. Then submit the police report to the law office as proof that YOU PERSONALLY did not take out the loan. YOU are as much of a victim as THEY are. However the odds are good that you DID take a loan and did not repay it. IF that is the case, then GET OVER IT!!!!!! The loan is due!!! YOU should have thought about this a bit more when YOU were having money issues. IF you default on a loan then THIS is what happens. This isn't your family or a friend. THIS is a loan company and when you do not pay back a loan, they TAKE what you owe from you. Sorry, but it is what it is. There is ONLY one way to clear yourself. Tell them to either PROVE you took the loan or stop the harassing phone calls.
