I don't know that they were unethical but they were a little heartless. My mom had some work done by them 2 years ago. Ny Step-Dad passed away that summer. My Mom called them to let them know that she would pay them after she received his death benefit and after the burial. They sent a letter say that they were sorry fo her loss but that payment was still expected to be made. They next invoice included a late fee. Hire someone else!

Anderson’s Landscaping cannot recall this customer’s last name in order look up the facts to properly respond to this complaint.   However, heartless is not a word used to describe our company in any such manner.   

We take great pride in our customer service and in offering extremely flexible payment options, especially to those in need.  If any of our customers cannot afford to make a payment because of unforeseen circumstances (loss of job, death in the family, family illness, etc.) we have always been willing to work with them and offer very fair payment options. 

I can say with absolute certainty that this customer probably received their bill multiple times before even attempting to contact us at all to make us aware of their situation.  We have never ever once charged a late fee for any customer who has reached out to our office for help in seeking payment arrangements.

Anderson’s Landscaping has been in the business for over 20 years and we pride ourselves in our customer service.  Thank you for taking the time to read our rebuttal.  Sincerely, Anderson’s Landscaping.
