I use to do business with Andy's Pawn shop before but recently his business has taken a turn For the worse. I would rate his business at a -10 seriously going their use caution.
He had a man smelling heavy of alcohol hanging around the front door and some savory devilish looking characters inside began to hassle me about the compressor when I came in? Doing business with Andy has changed for the worse.
I attempted to get a $40.00 loan for an almost new Sears small compressor another pawn shop had given me $40.00 loans recently before.
I had a total of 5 times speaking to an employee who said, their network was down could not up my name in their computer. And was told to call back in about an hour. [I guess they needed to see if I owned them any money before talking to me about a new loan?] And after call he said, computer was back online he took my name and up me up on their computer data. Said, Ok what do you want? I told him I wanted to get a $40.00 loan on a small sears compressor on wheels. I told the employee I was a good customer of Andys Pawn shop. He wanted to know the size I said; it has a 7 gallon tank? He broke away from the phone to talk to the owner, came back and said, ok as long as we have the money to give you, broke away from the phone again and said they were out of money? For me to call back after 2.5 hrs which I did The owner is on driving to the bank to get more money for me to call Back in 1/2 hrs which is did then Ok come on down. I drove all the way to his shop hoping to get a $40.00 loan. The owner said, "NO" Thats not a 7 Horse power compressor, I not loaning nothing on it! I told him I never said, it was 7 Hp? I said it had a 7 gallon tank. I reminded him again I have done business with him before and was a good long standing customer. He accuses me of lying and I told him I drove all the way to his shop for nothing? The compressor was too small he would only give me $25.00 take it or leave it?
I left thinking if this is the way he handles is good long standing customers I hate to see how it treats any thing less? I would advise going to another pawn shop not to get involved with his strange business practices.

A "bait and switch" (Not Bate and switch) is an item advertised as available at a low price and when purchase attempt is made, customer is steered to a more expensive item and/or told the advertised item is not available. It is an ILLEGAL activity.
