Anthony Marini Anthony Marini is a very deceitful person. He is a professional con man. He is posing as a movie producer with his script, book, and 12 page contract to go with it. This is all fake. There is no movie. No book. He drops very big names which are in no way attached to any projects, and in fact these individuals do not want anything to do with this con man. Anthony Marini uses his ability to lure women into believing they will be in his movie to spend time in their company. He has even gone as far as to convince one woman to accompany him to an S&M club he said to be shooting a scene of his movie in. Stay far far away. Bronxville New York

I was a freelance artist at the Vault where Anthony was the manager. He always exhibited care and concern for the workers and attendees, and never struck me as a dishonest person. I hope Anthony has reached out to counsel to pursue a slander suit against the original poster. Although the poster chose to remain a coward and not disclose their true identity, there is this delightful thing called "discovery" in the legal world. It will all come out in the wash. I do want to note, I have not been in contact with Anthony for many years, I am merely relaying my personal experience from the time I knew him. 

He was great! I worked the "coat" check @ The Vault from time to time w/my late brother Steve, long ago......I hope he comes across this and sues for slander!

I was one of Anthony Marini's bouncers back when he ran The Vault and we have been friends for roughly twenty years. He was a great employer and friend, and he's a loving father who always brags about his son. He is an honest, thoughtful, and generous man, and I'm proud to say that we've remained friends after all these years. It's a shame that he is being trashed on this Web site by people who would rather remain anonymous. If your complaint is real, sign your name to it. Don't just lie about him while using a phoney name.

Anthony Marini is a wonderful friend and colleague, a warm, loving, generous man with a sharp wit and a great sense of humor. He is a talented writer with amazing stories to tell, and I doubt that the people irresponsibly criticizing him on this Web site have ever even met him. I've always found him to be honest and I've researched his stories. They are credible. I've read both his book and his screenplay--both are awesome and very real. It is hard to believe that he is a con artist since none of these alleged victims have described how they were conned, proven that they were conned, or even bothered to sign their names to their reports. If you're going to slander somebody and try to tarnish his or her reputation, at least have the decency to sign your name to your complaint. It woul be foolish to believe these half-baked allegations and very sad that people are spreading lies about him.

He uses these "contracts" as collateral for loans.

I'm sorry, I read through your missive, but maybe I missed it- is money changing hands here?  If not, how does lying about being a movie producer or anything else fit the definition of a "scam?"  Lots of people lie about their backgrounds and make themselves more exciting than they actually are.  Does this guy con people into giving Power of Attorney?  Does he get them to turn over credit cards or cash?  Because if he's just getting women to date him by posing as a director, I just don't get how that's a "Ripoff."  

Again, maybe I missed the part where he was cheating people out of their money- I'll read it again.  If he's just a liar, that's not being a ripoff artist, just a guy with a good angle going.
