Applegate Securities Inc sweepstakes winner Montreal Ontario

My mother received a letter from the aforementioned company saying she had won 250,000 dollars. Included with the letter was a check for 4,995 dollars.

She called the contact name "Bob Morris" and asked if the letter and check were real. He replied that yes they were. He then told her to put the check in a checking account and to call him back when she had deposited the check.

Luckily, she asked me to check the company out on the internet. Unluckily she had already let herself get extremely excited about winning the money. Needless to say we found out it was a huge scam. I don't have to say she was very dissappointed and upset.

I then logged on to this website and typed out a complaint or report.
