Arab Electric Corp. Trees Obstructing Power Lines and Nothing Being Done Arab, Alabama

My neighbors tree is hanging in the road and growing in the power lines.  Every time it gets windy my power flickers.  I contacted Arab Electric Corp because they are the people who trims the trees.  It was completely unbelievable what I was told when I called.

The power company informed me that the neighbor would have to call in about the tree; even though it was affecting my electricity and hanging extremely low in the road.  So much that if a truck went down my street the branches would hit the vehicle.

After speaking to the Public Service Commission, they informed me that Arab Electric Corp. is not regulated by the state.  I now understand why my bill fluctuates so much.  I am trying to sell my home and the tree has become a major concern. 

I am at a crossroads as to what to do.  This power company is lazy and just wants their money and that's it.  Public safety is not a concern and because they are not regulated by the state, they do not have to do a thing.

They do not care about their customers and I am tired of trying to get things done. The power company is supposed to take care of their lines and they don't.  It is a complete disgrace to this community and what exactly is our increasing rates paying for.
