Arrow Trucking Co. ARROW TRUCKING Business to Business holland, Texas

May-June 2001, I get hired on to work as Company Driver. At this time, Arrow Trucking had recently gotten into the drive-away business. Upon being hired, and, Right out of Arrow Trucking Company Orientation, my second assignment was to drive a specialized truck outfitted in Canada for the Oil Well Field. Crossing into the United States, i read the customs declaration where the truck is valued at $750,000. A few hours later, Upon doing a vehicle inspection, i noticed hydralic fluid leaking from a reservoir tank of approx size 75-100 gallons, this unit is heavily bolted on top, +30 bolt heads, top of tank. Called the Arrow Trucking Company special accounts contact point representative: The Arrow Trucking Co. Rep. tells me to tighten the bolt heads down.

After I point out to the rep. the trucks value, and, that this is hydralic fluid...the Arrow Company Rep. proceeds to raise his voice and begins yelling to me, to do-as-im-told...rather curtly i replied, its incompetent request, i will not do what he stated. I then called the Company whom owned the equipment, found they had a terminal not far from my location with a maintance dept, They proceeded to drain the over filled tank of its very clean fluid to a safe level. My observations, the equipment was brand new & high dollar item. The problem was a fluid leak where i could of easily broken the head bolt off by over tightening the bolt heads. The cavalier attitude displayed by the Arrow Trucking Co. Accounts Rep, to encourage me/a driver, to correct or repair equipment that is not company owned was poor.
