Ashley Furniture ripoff, rude customer service, dishonest Hickory North Carolina

I went to Ashley Furniture in Hickory Nc to purchase my son a bedroom set. The set I order came to $988.00 which included Twin head board, 2 night stands, dresser, Mirror Desk, Hutch, and hamper storage. That was 6-29-05, the deliver charged was $231. $35 per 100 lbs.

I get my delivery on 8-22-05. My order was short the Hutch, the delivery man told me that it was not in and that he would bring it once it arrived at the store(the sell rep didn't even call me). Needless to say it never got there. I called the owner on 8-25-05, and she told me that the hutch was on its way, and would be delivered in two weeks. I called her back 9-12-05 to see what was going on with my hutch. I have not spoken to the manager yet.

I was told by a sells person that the hutch was discountied and that I was not getting a hutch. I tried to explain that the owner said it was on it way, but she was so rude to me she hung up the phone. I have called evey day since the 9-14-05 and every day that I have called to speak with the owner she is never in. I have recived my bill from the financail company and they want there money. I was threat that if I didn't pay the bill my credit would be bad.

What does Ashley furniture think I'm going to do, just forget about it and pay for something I have not recieved? Some one please tell me what action I need to take, I really do not want to go down to the store I don't want to cause a seen.
