Asian Imports stole $299.90 from me!  This company is based at Clark, AFB in the Phillipines but owned by Chris Baldwin in Roseville, CA.

I placed an order for two P-3C models on April 26th, 2011 and paid them $299.90 via Google Checkout.  That was for both models with shipping/handling.  They said the models would ship in 90 days.  I later deduced that their 90 day ship timeline is likely based on Google Checkout's 90 day limit on transaction arbitration.  After 90 days, Google won't help you.

I had multiple emails with Asian Imports all last year and they kept telling that the models would ship soon.  They never shipped so I requested a refund which they promised but never came through on.

So, here I am 1 year later having paid $299.90 with no redress available through Google or my CC company.  Do not give Asian Imports a dime of your money!!  I have friends who have their models and they are high quality but this company flat out stole $300 from me!!

Don't believe me, check out the BBB review of the company.  They gave Asian Imports an "F"

Asian Imports fully refunded my money

AUTHOR: Drew - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, May 05, 2012

After filing this report and a BBB complaint, I contacted Asian Imports to inform them of my actions.  I was immediately contacted by the owner who agreed to fully refund my $229.90.  He explained that they had experienced production problems which have since been resolved.

I received a full refund this morning and have been promised that the models I originally ordered will be shipped in approximately 3 weeks, with payment due upon receipt.  I agreed to these terms because, regardless of my customer service experience, Asian Imports' model aircraft are of the highest quality and level of detail that I've seen.  I've tried to find a similar quality model but cannot find anything of comparable quality.

Bottom line is that their products are the highest quality models on the market.  Hopefully, my customer service experience was an anomaly and others can order successfully on the first try.
