Asurion Insurance where to start... the worst company I have ever had to deal with. After recieving 2 used  phones, I decided to buy a new one and would never want to deal with this company again. The customer service was rude, and the replacement phones never worked. Never had I thought that I would pay insurance on a phone knowing that it would have been much easier to buy a new one.

This is NOT an isolated incident.

This is a rebuttal to "An isolated incident?"

I have been a customer of Verizon since the mid 90s, I have always had insurance but every time I file a claim I had to pay the $50 and received a new phone, no problem there..

BUT this is the first time I had to use Asurion to receive a replacement at no cost to me. Since December 24, 2012,  I have received 5 replacement phones, all of which have not worked, I have been lied to, put on hold every time I called, transferred over to Motorola Technicians twice and as of now I still do not have a cell phone that is dependable are works correctly. The only thing it seems to me were that the Asurion Verizon Technicians were trying to get me to do was to upgrade to a new phone so they wouldnt have to honor their contract with me. I love my Droid and I like my cell plan, I am not changing either.

The last technician I talked to yesterday told me that after receiving my 5th replacement phone that he would not send me any more cells until all the phones were returned to their warehouse. He did not even try to help me figure out what was the problem was with the cell I just got that morning, he did not ask any question s about the phone, he did not ask me to try and reset the phone, nothing, he just wanted get off the phone with me, he did not tell me to have a nice day are anything like that.

All the cells I sent back go sit in a warehouse in DC for a few weeks before they are delivered to a warehouse of Verizons in Ft. Worth. That way they can say we have not received their cell phones back from you. It is a scam to keep them from sending you a replacement and hope you will go away; they the technicians you are talking to on the phone ALL know that the phones are sitting in a warehouse and that they wont be shipped to their warehouse until later.  I have started recording the serial numbers of the cell phones they are sending me because I swear the last one I have already had once.

I am still waiting after 3 weeks to get a like new replacement where all its parts work, it is dependable and reliable.

Asurion is by far the worst insurance company I have ever had dealings with, even the employees at the Verizon Wireless offices in our area will tell you the same story about how bad they are to deal with. I have not met one Verizon Wireless employee that had anything nice to say about ASURION Insurance Company.

The only way I am going away is for them (ASURION) to honor their contract, send me a new phone, are send me back every penny I have paid them for insurance every month for all these years. Are I can hire a lawyer and sue them for breach of contract, which is going to happen anyway

If I am wrong tell me I am wrong.

An isolated incident?

AUTHOR: vulcan - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, January 30, 2013

I have been a Verizon customer for more than ten years and have I have bought at least 30 phones from them. Each phone has been insured by Asurion and at least 20 of them have been replaced by Asurion. The replacements that were sent were refurbished and not always identical to the ones I had sent in or lost, however, they arrived in like new condition with all the accessories and had the same if not more features.

The thing I liked most about Asurion is that when I call to make a claim I am not put on hold, my questions are answered, and I am provided with a tracking number that allows me to go online and see when my phone is shipped from their warehouse and when it will reach my doorstep. I have never had to wait more than 24 hrs for a new phone.

I have no affiliation with either Verizon or Asurion or with anybody that works for either company. I will continue to use them and I would recommend them to others.
