AT&T Wireless ripoff Scam of the Century How many innocent people have had their credit ruined because of their practices? Atlanta Georgia

After my phone was stolen AT&T blamed me for not putting in a security code they said I should have read the contract and the manual. They said if I didn't pay the over $2,000 bill my service would be disconnected and my credit rating ruined. Their customer service rep provided zero help.

I was victimized here, my phone was stolen! I will not have to pay the bill because I contacted my local news station and they called AT&T on my behalf. I got no where with their customer service department only when the news media got involved did I get a resolution. I filed a police report and the police actually found the person that stole the phone and we have proof that he made the calls. I called AT&T and told them that the police officer would need someone at AT&T to file a complaint so that these criminals could pay for their crime.

AT&T has no interest in catching the bad guys. They want the victims to pay. They were ready to hang me on the proverbial cross, but when they have the true criminals they decide they will do nothing about it. I wonder how many people give up after talking to the customer care rep and end up paying for someone else's crime? How much does AT&T collect on these matters? How many innocent people have had their credit ruined because of these practices?

I have filed a complaint with the FCC, if this has happened to you please do the same many we can bring about some change.
