I purchased an unlocked phone from Walmart for 800$. The phone was a samsung galaxy s4. Some 10 months later when I tried to use T mobile service, at&t locked the phone. I spent an entire day going to their store...making numerous calls and visiting their website to get an unlock code. They told me each and every time that they would not unlock my phone because I was not a customer of theirs. I'm now calling attorneys.

Unlock....

AUTHOR: Tyg - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, July 08, 2014

You just purchased a phone straight out. It IS NOT unlocked and due to the DMCA no carrier is going to unlock it for you. You can try and go online, but 99% of the sites are scam sites. Because of the DMCA you are now stuck with a phone that can ONLY go on ATT or ATT compatable systems. They are closing all those nice little loopholes so that the consumer cant do as you want.
