In my May phone bill I noticed 2 calls to wallis and futuna islands that totaled $241.26. At that time we had dial-up internet service and only one phone line. These calls, accordingy to at&t were made while connected to the internet.

I reported to at&t that these calls were not mine and i will not pay for something that i did not do. I also stated that i buy my software i do not download it, I do not know anyone or any business there, and even didn't know of its existance until i receiced the bill.

Since I also have been a victim of Atlantic Management I wasted no time in placing these calls in dispute while I research this further. so far im not having much luck.

SOLVE SUCH BILLING PROBLEMS WITH PHONE COMPANIES

AUTHOR: Omair - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, July 11, 2006

In order to protect your self if you call the phone company there will be no solution, same thing happened to me about 2 years ago with MCI, i tried to contact them in regards to my charge of $300 but to no avail.

So what I did was to contact my state corporation commission and complaint to their telecommunication department.

After the complaint one of supervisior from MCI called me (seriously in about 2 weeks) and they issued a refund for those charges and also said that they would give me a $50 credit on next bill if I were to call the state corporation commission and ask to drop this complaint (i did that and got the rebate).

Let me know if this helps

#1 Consumer Suggestion

u may have gotten a dialer.

AUTHOR: David - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, July 08, 2006

u need to scan your computer for spyware, viruses, dialers, etc..and esp. trojans. I had a dialer once too.

Call 1888-296=8079 (The billing Resource AKA Atlantic MGMT and they also go by many other name too. )

Don't give up, first call ur local AT&T company and have all outgoing 900/976 number blocked and once then call the given number.

Now have them block it, If they hang up just call right back, as I had too.

They told me up to the Exact second my modem did this (altho I use Junos' dialer software, and at the time no dialer popped up and called as it must of integrated with the software. However keep going (and yes they made me look like I was subscribing), and finally as u keep it up they will offer a 50 percent rebate, however keep talking until you hear a full 100 percent rebate.

U should then pay the amount you owe and withing 3 weeks or 3 billing cycles that money should be re-credited into your account..
