I drove to Columbia, SC to buy my wife a preowned Audi because I was only comfortable purchasing it from an Audi Dealership. I was always under the impression that they inspected their preowned Audi vehicles very well before selling them. In my case, this was a HUGE MISTAKE!! I bought the car and drove it 280 miles back to Knoxville, Tennessee where the car died that afternoon. I had it towed to the Audi Dealership in Knoxville, Tennessee where they discovered a lot of issues with this car. They said that if this car had been inspected at their dealership, first they would not sell it, secondly they absolutely would not have let someone drive it!

After a week in the Knoxville shop, $1300.00+ and a towing bill later I was given the keys to my new preowned Audi, and an envelope with over 31 fault codes in it, several damaged parts, and the information that my car had been in a serious accident that Audi of Columbia not only did not disclose the accident, they defended that it was not by showing me a clean Carfax and Autoreport. The car has a lot of damage to the rear sides, doors, quarter panels, the front end had been removed and replaced, and the roof had damage. How could they sell this car new, service this car for over a year and be completely without any knowledge of the severity of the accident that this car had been in? Further, If Audi of Columbia had inspected this car prior to offering it for sale, the damage and repairs were obvious once the car was on a lift. So if David Houser or Jason Branham hand you a Carfax, hand it back, and take the car to a reputable dealer you know to get checked out!

My personal advice, from my experience, to anyone considering buying a car from Audi of Columbia is DO NOT.... but if you insist, at the very least, have the car inspected by another car lot not associated with this one. BUYER BEWARE, just because the dealership says Audi on the door, it does not mean "Quality Cars Sold Here", it just means they bought the name "Audi" to put on the door. I thought a brand like Audi would have safeguards in place to stop these kinds of practices, but after this experience, I'm no longer interested in owning this sack of parts pieced back together, nor an Audi automobile. Audi USA will tell you they have "no control over franchise dealerships, but they do have a lot of influence". If they try to sell you a car on the Carfax and Autoreport alone without letting you take it somewhere to get it properly inspected...... run away!

I'm continuing to fill out these complaints daily about Audi of Columbia until they acknowledge what they did to me, acknowledge the car they sold me was dangerous and wrecked. To this day, no one from Audi of Columbia has even bothered to return my calls or emails.......!!
