Although I have never been an Audible user or member, Audible charged me a monthly membership fee for two years before I was finally able to have the charges reversed and the account canceled.

I began seeing unexplained charges on my bank account two years ago.  Based on the information I received after disputing the charges with my bank, I contacted Amazon for an explanation but they were unable to provide answers, as I was not shown to have any memberships/subscriptions attached to my account.  After many frustrating months ping-ponging between my bank and Amazon, I finally canceled my card.

The charges began anew.  I continued to dispute the charges and attempted to find the origin.  Finally discovering it was Audible was a relief.  I was informed Audible is an Amazon company and they were able to continue the charges on my new account because of the card I used to purchase from Amazon.  Again, I have never purchased anything from Audible.  The CSR I spoke with on Dec 27, 2017 (named Jay) was able to determine the charges were not initiated by me and promised a $339.78 refund.

One week later the money was not deposited in my account.  I contacted them again, they insisted the money had been refunded and sent me a report with transaction id numbers of each refund. I presented the report to my bank who insisted the numbers had nothing to do with their internal system and there were no pending transactions on my account.

I contacted Amazon Corporate office who referred me to Audible who then accused me of attempting to defraud them as they insisted the money had been deposited in my account.  I had my bank send them a letter and authorized my institution to speak directly to Amazon/Audible personnel.  Still no refund.

I am frustrated  Not only did they charge my account without my permission but hey hid the origin of the charges where even the Amazon CSRs were unable to find it.  Then when outed, Audible promised a refund which they claim they've sent but I did not receive.

Each time I contact them, I am told they will investigate and contact me within 2 business days.  They never contact me.  The last CSR I spoke with informed me that they would send my refund in the mail.

The fault lies with them on every point.  All I want is my refund and I will gladly not ever contact them again.
