Boat 2008 Sea fox walkaround model 236 (this could be anything -car, boat, motorcycle, RV, or machinery) listed on Craigslist.org. I requested a few times, the physical location to view the boat. ($18000 dollars worth but $25000 value) A so called ElisabethM from a doctor web site returned my email request. 1st light bulb moment-the doctors website was a phony when I checked it. I was referred to autohangout.com who had consignment control of the boat they were selling, they had purchased another boad and did not have rom for it so turned it over to AUTO CONSIGNOR HANGOUT AKA -autohangout.com, Looks real when you pull up the web site. Many reveiwers located on the web refering to the company, Did some checking on the reviewers on Google. 2nd light bulb moment-they are all originating from India. Now you want to see the product that has peaked your interest because it is such a great price so you contact the NY # 855 684-5627 (checked#originated from Canada) and get a recording to hold due to heavy calling volume, you will then be told to register on thier site,  which requires the payment of the (what ever) you were interested in. You get a 7 day refund if not satistied when you inspect it and they will cover the first 1000 miles for delivery. I have not been able to get any location this boat exists at or find any locations that would have thier storage facilities. I am reporting this because it just reeeks with SCAM. Prove me wrong and I will gladly retract this-but Im correct!

Auto Hangout Consignor Auto Consignor Hangout www.autohangout.com Fake stolen reviews, fake website, fake lots and AHC Warehouses and business locations, fake boats, autos they don't have. Try to sell Internet

AUTHOR: Robert - (United States)

POSTED: Wednesday, March 28, 2018

That great deal you saw on Craigslist or others that start out: I don't have it, I turned it over to a consignor and it is in the ACH Warehouse or other bull, but if you pay for it in advance sight unseen (really!) "because you have more money to throw away than sence" But don't worry we deliver it within 1000 miles for free (WHAT!) and if you don't like it, you have 7 days to send it back. (WOW:they will pay up to a $1000 to get it returned if you don't like what you bought?) Well this is GREAT but you are not buying a pair of shoes to return. Matter of fact: If you did not see it in peson it does not exist. SORRY TO BREAK THE BAD NEWS TO YOU, YOU GOT SCAMMED REALLY BAD. For years that too good of a deal has been played on thousands of people. I did a massive amount of checking on this scam. The product you see usually is a stolen ad from someone who had a listing at one time. They insert there own copy for it and run it under multiple locations. The price is great, that is what always sets up the SCAM. There will always be some flaws to look for in the ad copy, the biggest is there is no contact name or phone # or email to contact directly; no traceable element.  I recently contacted a honest consignor that had a SCAM Boat listed twice in there inventory, same boat located in NY and Fla. at the same time. They found it to be true and removed it.

This is so slick that all the reviews are 5 stars everywhere for years. REALLY! But check the reviewers and you will find that they originate from INDIA or the preson listed did not write the review, they were ID hacked. Just some simple checking brings up RED FLAGS. The website autohangout.com does not even bring up the business home page but it does bring up FAKE glowing 5 STAR reviews on Google, click on the originator and be amazed. You have to type: Auto Hangout Consignor to get to thier fake NY business address location in a 5 story 1.7 million dollar per floor condo building. If you want to know about a business use GOOGLE EARTH. Use web crawlers to search for so called warehouses and storage lots, a little common senses goes a long way.

I feel for you but this scammer is piling up more recent victims here.

A honest contract shipper will always contact you days ahead of delivery to verify your name, address, email and contact phone #. Available time and location. This isn't the post office dropping of a package at your front door.

In process of receiving item from Auto Consignor Hangout..

AUTHOR: cc - (United States)

POSTED: Wednesday, March 14, 2018

As I am still "in process" the verdict is still out.. although I am getting concerned having found your post of possible scam/fraud. There are a few similarities.

I found a great vessel w/trailor on Craigslist, seller said they bought another boat and didn't have room. (noting weird there) that they were using Auto Consignor Hangout to handle the financial transaction and delivery. I searched the internet and all seemed legit. In fact, I thought it was a great way to purchase a large item and have had several people buy items sight un-seen espeically with 7 day Return Guarentee.

Monday, March 5, 2018 I registered to purchase the item.. which just required giving my name, address, phone and email. Plus the name, and email of seller. and amount of sale. Of Note: (since it was mentioned in the Complaint I am referencing and only just saw today, 3/14) The email address the seller used in our correspondance is a Doctor .com.

Friday, March 9, 9:30am I received an email saying transaction was approved, was directed to their website with a transaction ID to get further instructions. I logged in and received a copy of bill of sale (signed by seller) an invoice, and instructions to send payment via Bank Wire Transfer. It further instructed me to attach a copy of the wire transfer recceipt (issued by my bank) along with my "buyer" signed Bill of Sale and Fax it to them prior to 5pm of that day. I wired the funds per instructed at 12;15pm and faxed the documents to Auto Consignment Hangout at 12:39PM, 03/09/18. I received an email from Auto Consignor Hangout at 1:57pm confirming they received my fax, that it would take up to 24 hours for their Financial Department to Validate the funds, and once approved it would move to their Shipping Department.

Monday, March 12, at 2:59pm I received confirmation via email that my wire payment had been successfully confirmed by their bank, and "as a consequence on March 12, 2018, we have approved the shipping of your item" it went on to say that I would receive further information regarding my order in the next 24-48 hours, once the sbipping arrangements have been made.

Wednesday, March 14 I felt some concern that I hadn't received an update. My call at 12:09pm-EST were greeted with an automated message saying they are closed, to use their 24 Hour email or to call during regular hours between (9am-5pm EST) Note: I am also on EST and my call was during their "stated" business hours.

After not getting an update or answer I was becoming very alarmed, and once again searched the internet... which brought me to this complaint about "possible" fraud/scam dated 03/08,2018.

While writing this, I received an email from Auto Consignor Hangout at 12:19pm (March 14, 2018) that my item has left their custody March 9, 2018 at 9am. "The item will be delivered on Monday, March 19, 2018 at 5:00pm by one of our Company Commercial Trailers." (I am hoping that means they are transporting via a semi, since a trailer is included with the vessel I purchased). Note: The distance between the warehouse my item was stored, and delivery is 695 miles or drive time of 9.33 hours. Auto Consignment Hangout does promise a "Delivery time withinn 3 Days in most cases or up to 5 Days depending on distance and shipping schedule. If delivery occurs on Monday as promised this would be just inside the 5 day window.

If delivery takes place as promised on Monday, March 19, 2018 at 5 pm. The "process time from offer to delivery would be 14 days, and 9 days, 8 hours since wiring the money to Auto Consginment Hangout. I would be lying if I said I'm not feeling a bit uneasy, but will update on Monday, or if I learn anything else before then.
