Auto Tire Indianapolis Auto Tire Car Care Center Poor Quality of Work and Poor Service Indianapolis, Indiana

My wifes vehicle needed a new transmission.  I took it to Auto Tire in Indianapolis.  I was given an estimate which was acceptable and approved the work to be started.  Two weeks later my wife and I found her car in a parking lot in Franklin, IN (25 minutes away).  I called Auto Tire and asked the status of my wifes vehicle and was told it was still being worked on.  We waited for whoever was driving our vehicle to come out of the store and caught him off guard and questioned what was going on.  This gentleman, who was of Puerto Rican decent, didnt even work for Auto Tire.  He worked for a company in downtown Indianapolis called ETE Transmissions.  Without our knowledge or consent, Auto Tire let another company, which I found out has numerous complaints with the Better Business Bureau work on our vehicle.  I called Auto Tire back in disgust, and questioned them about the incident and they said they had someone else working on it.  This man was driving our car and using it personally, and was 30 miles away from the place that he worked.  He even admitted that he was on his lunch break.  A week later we got a voice mail that the car was ready to be picked up.  No apology, just your car is ready.  When we went to pick up the vehicle, I spoke with the general manager, Mark Fink.  I let him know how upset we were at what happened.  Mark told me not to pay the bill in full because he was going to give me a discount for out trouble and for being upset.  I had to leave for an appointment and told Mark we would discuss it the following week.  The following week he rescinded his offer of a discount and offered 4 free oil changes instead.  I informed him that this was not acceptable to me after going to see the place where the vehicle was worked on and their complaint history with the BBB.  I told him that I wanted to speak with the owner of the Auto Tire.  I got a call from Mark later that day and he told me that the owner, who is Kevin Vaught, had nothing to say to me, and if they didnt get their money that they would turn it over to their attorneys.   I paid the $5,700.00 bill, and NOW THE TRANSMISSION IS OUT AGAIN (February 2010), and Mr. Fink is being very standoffish.  I am forced to go there due to it still being under warranty.  I asked for a rental vehicle since they have had our car for 3 weeks the first time and couldn't get it right the first time, and he is refusing.

This is the worst service I have ever received at any establishment.  I would not recommend this place to anyone!
