Since receiving my car from Auto mart in El Monte I have nothing but trouble with this car is a 2004 chevy
Impala(vin #2G1WF52E4492446490).i HAVE ASKed aUTO MART TO REPAIR,but refused to complete the repair.
My ex-husband Cedric Hooker and my brother(Wesley Morris) and qualified mechanic found that the car had no
anti-freeze,to much oil, smashed hose, ignition hard to turn, when outside mechanic wanted to give my car
and engine diagnostic he could'nt because the engine light was disconnected. He said the reason a person
(auto mart ) would do this was so it could pass smog test.this is a LEMON CAR doom to have mechanincal problem soon
they auto mart of Elmonte wanted me to lie
about my income and that the car is ok. It also has a pinched hose, register hot, air condition doesn't work, knock in lifter
I will be returning this car asking for a full refund. I also will be filing a claim with and make copy, english and spanish BBB,consumer,tv,radio,
acl, auto dealer assoc, legal aid, city, state, federal. Auto Mart took advantages of me in purchasing a car
they were not in my best interest. and know that along the months ahead i will have to makng payments and expensive repairs on a messed up car
It is unfair and wrong they just wanted to get rid of a bad car. I ask that all company concern please respond. Please help me

however the vehicle will still not pass emissions because the check engine light is unhooked.
The emissions test is not done based on the light, but what is noted when the scanner is connected to the OBD plug in the car. There is no way around that as the info is stored in the vehicles on board computer regardless if the light on the dash works or not.
So if there is a problem, the vehicle will not pass anyhow. My bet is they disconnected it so the car would sell easier, probably illegal, but hard to prove.
But there is a much bigger concern. That light is there to warn YOU when there is a problem, and not having the light come on to warn you can lead to all kinds of problems, including a destroyed engine.
I don't know how much recourse if any you may have because you most likely signed a contract with an "as-is" clause, with implies no warranty and even if the engine blows up on the way home from the dealer, you are SOL.
However, if anything was lied to you in writing, or advertised regarding this vehicle and turns out to be wrong, you may have a case with false advertising. As well, if any documentation regarding your income or personal info is forged, you can get them into big trouble.
To prove this, you will have to see if the paperwork you have, matches up to the paperwork they have. Any discrepancies of their paperwork can constitute fraud.
