This report is to tell everyone how sick, tired, angry and frustrated I am with Bank of America (BOA).

I don't think I have had worse customer (no) service calls than I have experienced with this company.

Let me give you a timeline of what happened:

A few years back I got a preapproved BOA card for $8500 with 0% interest for a year.
After a year, my interest rate was quite high, but thats fine no complaints.
Then when I made an international trip, I forgot 2 payments and my APR went to 28%. Again, my mistake no complaints.
I called and requested the customer service rep that she reduce my interest rate as 28% is just too high. She not only refused, but actually shut my account down on her own accord!!

I then called another manager who reviewed the tape and apologized and reopened my credit card. At this point, I paid my card down fully.
Couple of months later while I was checking my paid off credit card for any activity, it gave a very lucrative 7% balance transfer option which I took.

Then I made another international trip and after I came back, I made a payment of $2500 on my now reduced $7400 credit line.

When i went to a coffee shop, they said my credit card is declined. Furious, I called the customer service office and they said that they did a credit review and I wasnt credit worthy.

At this point, I made a trip to my local branch with my paystubs and asked them how am i not credit worthy? Their answer was that there is an american express card with $37,129 on my account which is a concern.

At this point, I was angry, but I understood where they came from. Actually there was a glitch in the system which showed me as a secondary to my relatives amex card. I was off the card 3 yrs ago, but transunion never took it off and I had to report to AMEX to ask transunion to take this off.

A month later I checked transunion made sure it was taken off my account and i called BOA and did a full credit review.

At the end of it the very unintelligent human being on the other end said, yes your account shows that there is no amex account anymore, but 'WE FEEL YOU HAVE ENOUGH CREDIT AND DONT NEED ANYMORE' Who the hell is he to decide if I have enough credit or not?????

After 15 mins of headbanging with this moron I hung up the phone and I swore NEVER EVER EVER to do business with this company again.

They have no respect, nor regard for their customers, and have turned into this senseless machine where every customer is nothing but a statistic for them.

I am going to take my account and business to a bank that gives a d**n!

From the time when I was 17, every single person in my family banked with BOA. That was the default bank. They seem to have forgotten what got them so big and strong. I am sure I am one of thousands of disgruntled customers sick and tired of the bad customer service and horrible business practices.

All I requested the BOA rep on the phone was, please reopen my account as it will be a negative ding on my credit report. I asked him to open my account, and I will pay the complete balance and then close it my own self thereby reducing the -ve hit on my credit report. His answer to that was, "sir you have to pay your card off anyways, so you are really not doing a favor by paying it off completely."

Wow... this is what their customer service has come down to?
I hope people around the country are noticing this bad customer service and stop doing business with this atrocious bank where majority of their money is coming out of NSF fees and ripping off existing customers.
