I opened several Accounts because of the Workplace benefits that I would receive on Thurs, Dec 3rd, 2009. I used my Temporary card the next morning to purchase Gasoline. That evening I went to Walmart to make a purchase and the card was decline. I called BOA's Customer service number on the back of the card and I was given the phone number to Risk Management.
I was shocked to hear my Accounts were in the process of being closed due to an old account I had some 5 years ago that was charged off, even though the account was already Paid in Full. I went to the BOA down the street from the Walmart and the Assistant, VP informed me that I had 2 outstanding accounts and he stated the Risk Management only speaks with the Customer and now they are closed. I informed the VP that I don't owe BOA any money at all and this was a mistake. The VP then proceeded to inform me that the Branch Representative in Columbia created a new Profile for me against Company policy and that if she would have opened my previous profile, I would not have been able to open an Account.
Needless to say, I am out of $700.00 until the Investigation is complete. I told him I would pull my Paid in Full letters and get back with him. I spoke to Risk Management Sat, Dec 6th and they informed me that even if an Account in Paid, BOA doesnt give you second chances.
Sat, Dec 6th, I went to a Branch closer to home and showed the Branch representative my Cashier's Check for the one Account, and it was verified the night before from Customer Service that the other Account in question was not closed due to a negative balance, I withdrew my own Money and closed the Account myself. I am waiting on documents thru the mail.
The Branch representative from Saturday put in a Committ Ticket to investigate why the Account shows an open balance, and rudely brushed me off when her Assistant came to the desk where I was sitting and said that someone was waiting to open a new Account. Suddenly the Branch representative that was working with me, no longer had interest in helping me, she said I will get a call by Thursday regarding the Investigation.
SUGGESTIONS ANYONE!

MrsMedows you said...

Charged off means you only paid off half of the original debt. Why would you go back to a bank that ate half of your debt 5 years ago and expect them to welcome you back for free?

'Google' this- WALMARTS DEAD PEASANT SUIT AGAINST INSURERS ESCAPES THE GRAVE, and read where Walmart was doing the same thing. Then 'Google' this- WALMART WANTS YOU DEAD, and watch that video on the web. Then 'Google' this- BANK OF AMERICA COMPLAINTS SECRET LIFE INSURANCE POLICIES, and read about all of the banks that were allegedly doing this to their employees, okay?
