I paid last months mortgage to BOA in Cash at the local branch. I received and an email stating I had bounced a check at Bank of America. I have never written a check from Bank of America. My mortgage was paid in cash but somehow I was charged $35.00 insufficient funds fee. I immediately notified Bank of America on their 1-800 number of the mistake. The woman on the phone at BOA assured me it was their mistake, she sees what happened. The Bank Teller caused it and she would be happy to correct that and back out the unwarranted fees from my account.
Five days later I received a notice from BOA that I bounced this check.
Unbelievable, how long will we allow these banks to do this stuff to us. I for one am broke living pay check to pay check. They got a bail out, I didn't and now their stealing my money. Which is a 2 billion dollar a year business for them by the way.
Contact politicians to put a stop to this and the credit card fees as well.

Please give us an update to your Ripoff Report when you have time. Thank You.
P.S. In order to find out when the stock market is going to crash again, simply 'Google' this- ALL READER COMMENTS BUSINESSWEEK LEROY YOAKAM, and click on the BusinessWeek link and read the comment that was posted on Feb 21, 2008 at 3:03 AM for the answer. (It is currently listed on 'Page 42'.)
Seven months after that comment was posted, in September of 2008, the stock market crashed. On September 29, 2008, the Dow Jones lost a record 777 points and the financial system in the USA melted down. You can 'Google' this- FRONTLINE: INSIDE THE MELTDOWN, and watch that documentary on the web for proof.
Have a great weekend!

DEBT TSUNAMI POEM
Call up Billy
Contact Tommy
It's a comin'
Debt Tsunami
What's goin' on
No one's thinkin'
All the big-shots
Must be drinkin'
Big ole budget
Who will pay
All tapped-out
Not feelin' gay
Lots of jerkos
All are grown
When they're home
They drink alone
This poem's over
Most can't think
But when at home
Alone they drink!
End.

That is the most idiotic thing I have heard - watch "Titanic"???

reply to Karl..
AUTHOR: Ronny g - (USA)
SUBMITTED: Friday, September 03, 2010
..okay, you have stated your opinion...which I quote from your last reply...
Also take note, in the title of this reply, I did not choose to use all capital letters in order to attract attention.
Now you also state and I quote...
"The politicians don't know what to do. The economists don't know what to do. The FED doesn't know what to do. They're hoping, wishing, & waiting for things to get better."
If you actually read and comprehend this particular report...it SIMPLY states the poster claims to have a bounced check fee, but had never written a check.
The report also clearly states in the very first line that the mortgage payment was made in cash.
Myself and a few others merely asked simple questions to get to the bottom of this. You on the other hand have left no helpful advice or suggestions, but merely predict "in your "opinion", that nothing is going to get any better, and that the economists, politicians and Feds do not know what to do.
So tell us Karl please, kindly tell us...what did your reply do to contribute to helping this poster or anyone for that matter?..unless others out there equally enjoy and exploit a doomsday scenario as much as you?

We have yet to hear back from Noreen regarding this report. As a matter of fact...it is so quiet a pin dropping is hurting my ears.
Surely Noreen has internet access and email or she would not have been able to submit this report.
So what is the hold up? All we requested was the info on the receipt of the cash payment, and info regarding the bounced check fee on a check that is claimed to have never been written.
Not exactly asking anything unreasonable so why no response? These are fairly serious accusations against this bank. I am no fan of this bank and would rather keep my money in a cookie jar then trust BofA...but nevertheless, if you lodge a complaint, you need to be able to back it up..just like we all have to back up our rebuttals. This does not included engine sludge and steak dinners..but simply to document how a cash payment was not credited, and how a bounced check fee could be applied to a check claimed to have never been written.

This report is not related to the mortgage crisis..
AUTHOR: Ronny g - (USA)
SUBMITTED: Friday, September 03, 2010
To get to the bottom of this report..we only need to know if there is a dated receipt for the cash payment of the mortgage..and documentation of the check that bounced which is stated in the report was never written.
Oh..we can all google until we are blue in the face and no surprises will be exposed over who caused the economic downfall. But this information will not conclude how this poster is being charged a bounced check fee for a check never written, or how a cash payment was not applied to the monthly mortgage.
Would you not agree Karl..that we need to determine these factors via documentation before any advice or suggestions are given on how to seek recourse if applicable?

Google all the steak dinner Obama poems you want...
AUTHOR: Ronny g - (USA)

..but it still will not answer why this poster was charged a bounced check fee when the mortgage was claimed in the report to have been paid by cash.
Certainly there must be some evidence by receipt of a cash transaction for a mortgage payment?...or the bank can produce a copy of this check which the OP claims was never written?
Not to say the banks are always innocent of wrong doing...but I do not think googles of steak poems and engine sludge are going to help much in this case.
Now I have kindly asked karl several times not to use my name in the titles when posting responses..unless the OP was me, and he continues to do so...and I have asked him to kindly refrain from using other peoples complaint threads to soap box his predictions and steak dinner poems...but apparently he believes he is somehow helping posters by exposing steak dinners and poems and engine sludge and who runs the fed and ponzi schemes and secret life insurance policies.
I try oh so hard to ignore it...but it doesn't seem to make it go away. Certainly reasoning and pleading will not help as I have tried. I do feel it is a good thing that this site allow total freedom of speech...but there comes a point when one person can be so disruptive and distracting that it is taking away credibility of this site and consumers reports and rights...that I feel if operator of this site really cares about consumers rights..that he ban this Karl or at least give him fair warning to stop hijacking threads and either offer consumer comments/advice related to the report or constructive criticism related to the report only.
When a consumer lodges a complaint like this for example regarding possible bank charging error...what good is it doing to post these responses titled in all capital letters for the most attention grabbing distraction relating to stock market crashes, steak dinners and Toyota engine sludge?
Has anyone actually lodged a rip off report against karl for ripping off consumers fair time and space and right on this site to lodge complaints and not have distractions regarding toyota engine sludge and insurance policies?
While I can agree some of Karls info is factual....it does not do any good to help a consumer report by grabbing attention away from the actual report..to have others google info that is already known...or that those who don't believe it will not anyhow simply because of some troll suggesting googles.

I once received an email from the "staff" at RipOffReport" concerning Karl and it ultimately boils down to the fact the "staff" doesn't want the responsibility of moderating threads. Sure, they'll redact the name of a competitor but they don't want to do anything against Karl. He knows this and since any well moderated forum would have booted him ages ago, Karl knows that he can post with impunity.
He was much more tolerable when he only posted in Bank of America threads. Unfortunately, he didn't feel like he was getting enough attention there and has since expanded. You cannot appeal to his senses of logic or even decency because he does not posses these things.
It's best to just read around his posts and to refrain from addressing him.

What does the RECEIPT the teller gave you state?
Whenever you make a cash payment, you get a receipt-that's your proof that you paid, and that you paid with CASH.
I would go to the branch where you made the cash payment, armed with your payment receipt in hand, and demand the branch manager contact whomever he/she must to correct this on the spot-while you wait.
Good luck.
