I closed my account at Bank of America on May 16th. I had a zero balance when I left. I explained I wanted any items returned "account closed." They failed to close my account. It is now two weeks later and my account is overdrawn by over $900 . . . IN FEES! Keep in mind that nothing has been paid on my behalf. The account should have been closed two weeks ago!

Why would you close your account knowing you still had checks outstanding? Who is the REAL scammer here? you are scamming anyone who you wrote a check to. And by the way, even if your account is closed you still can incure fees. Every check that is returned marked account clossed is charged a fee.
