I've read all the complaints about BofA and they all seem to be pretty much the same as mine. Once I found out how much money they had charged me virtually overnite, I quit using their bank, and refused to pay. They have tried to ruin my credit and now I'm fighting back. I wrote the Attorney Generals Office and the Office of Consumer Financial Affairs, and they are responding. Here is a letter I recently received:
Thank you for your recent letter in which you express concerns regarding an issue you have encountered with Bank of America.
Bank of America is a national bank operating in Florida. The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) is the primary regulator of national banks, therefore we are forwarding your inquiry to the OCC. You may contact the OCC's Consumer Assistance Unit directly by calling toll-free, 1-800-613-6743, or writing:
Office of the Comptroller of the Currency
1301 Mckinney Street, Suite 3710
Houstan, Texas 77010
We will send a copy of your letter and attachments to the OCC and Bank of America. In an effort to ensure your issue is addressed, we would appreciate the Bank of America providing this department with a copy of its closure letter to you.
I hope everyone would write the (OCC) to get BofA under control and stop ripping us off.

I,m pleased to say that I received a letter from B of A stating that since The OCC was Inquiring about my compliant they were going to erase my debit. The regulatory Response unit of B of A says their going to write off $299.39, and get the collection agency to get the B of A debit off my Record. B of A has finally admitted fault in so many words. I hope all of you that has been ripped off by B of A will write the OCC. Explain your complaint in detail, you really don't even need any documents to back your complaint. The OCC will open a investigation for you and B of A will have to respond to you and the OCC. Good luck
