Bath Fitter did a pi** poor installation of a one piece shower wall, mounted the ceiling and shower doors off kilter and left scratches on the ceiling. We were promised superior workmanship but received mediocre results at best. The Kent office of Bath Fitter is quite difficult to reach to complain and managers do not respond promptly or act in an appropriate consumer friendly manner.

All this at a cost of more than $6000 is outrageous! Today was Bath Fitter's fourth trip to my home and the corner walls still do not fit flush against the existing drywall leaving a bowing affect. Today's workman Mike suggests that the only way to adequately repair the corner is to cut it out, rip off and reglue the pieces leaving a gapping seam, which surely defeats the one piece shower wall concept which was the major selling point for us.

While the LIMITED LIFETIME QUALITY ASSURANCE PRODUCT WARRANTY specifies "many years of trouble-free service" we experienced nothing but trouble. The tub liner is like any old tub- you must scrub to clean after each use. It does not seem that the walls and tub are made of the same material hense the exerted effort to clean.

I just feel as though I didn't receive a quality product I ordered and want other consumers to beware of Bath Fitter's shady business practices. Before the workman left I was asked to sign a statement that I was completely satisfied with the repair for which I added two little words- "Is Not" and initialed the change (LPAE underneath the addition) before signing. I was NOT given a copy.

I also want the company to refund the amount of $1000, for the inaccurate wall measurement that caused the ill-fitting corner as well as $150 to have the scratches removed from the ceiling which occured during the first repair.

Bath Fitter Kent is fully aware of the repairs required for this customer. In fact a top installer who was there on Friday has written up a report on the necessary repairs that are requested. We will complete these to the customer's 100% satisfaction and we will not shy away from any workmanship issues that this customer of ours has mentioned. The Branch Manager for this location will be in touch with her immediately.

We are very concerned about our reputation and the need to provide an excellent product that can be enjoyed for years to come. We have thousands of very satisfied customers in Washington State and we intend to keep it that way. We know that mistakes can be made but they can also be fixed to regain customer confidence.
