I purchased a tub through Bathfitters out of Mesquite. I have had two failed installations and a year later I am still waiting on the third installation. Bathfitters of Mesquite Texas honors the warrantee only at their convienence.

I scheduled an installation on July 20, and was fully aware that the install would take 2 days.I even sent a letter to their complaints person of what I was told when I scheduled the appointment. I repeated to Raul from Bathfitters that the install would be from Friday to Saturday. They only scheduled me for one day and told me they could tear it out but I would have to sechuled another day for installation.(This was on a Friday so the next time they could reschedule would be next week) Raul from Bathfitters also told me that he never told me it was a Friday to Saturday installation.

I wrote a letter to the main franchise and put in it what I was told and mailed it that same week. I have already had them out before two other installation so this has become intolerable. I have even had the main franchise tech person Mark Orr from Canada in my home to see the mess made by the Mesquite franchise. The main franchise tech told them to fix it and that my install would be done on a Friday and finished on Saturday. They are now refusing to honor this. The owner Gerald Wood has even written a letter to my credit card company that I "thought that water was trapped in the liner" and that "she was not returning our calls" He has refused to acknowledge that my installation has failed for the 2nd time.

I want people to know about this because if they buy the tubliner and it fails the warrantee is worthless. The owner of the franchise will repair only at his convenience and the person buying this could be days without a bathroom for days and possible weeks.

If the Mesquite Franchise refuses to honor the warrantee than there is nothing that the main franchise will do. They won't even fix it. This a rip-off!

"Please help me get my money back", this company must not be allowed to take advantage of consumers. I am a single parent and have limited funds. I trusted that the Better Business Bureau would list a company correctly so that I would not be taken advantage of but I was wrong. I was out $2119.00 for this and now will have to come up with $2500.00 to repair the damage cause to remove this product from my home. Please help me or at least help stop this company from taking advantage of other consumers.

Bathfitters of Mesquite no longer associated with Main Franchise

Bathfitters out of Mesquite Texas is no longer associated with the main franchise in Canada. What does this mean to consumers you may ask? If this company performs a faulty installation and it leaks then the warranty means nothing. The "five year comprensive warranty" stated in their brochure only covers the actual defect in the material. With out pressure from the main franchise in Canada they do not have to fix the faulty installation. That is why they broke away from the main franchise. If you purchase a tubliner you are at the company's mercy with no recourse through the main franchise. Also per the customer service girl I spoke to at the Better Business Burean they have many many complaints about this company but the BBB does not have them listed yet because they try to resolve them first.
