B&D Contractors Terrible company, quick to take your money and not complete the job properly Allentown Pennsylvania

Myself and my fiance contracted B&D Construction to do some landscape work on our property. A price was agreed upon and a contract was drawn up and signed by all parties involved. Shortly after the work was performed we started noticing several issues with the work that had been done by B&D. On the evening of 5/24 there was a rather heavy storm in our area and the following day we noticed that along several of the areas that B&D had laid down mulch it was spread so thin that you could see the " weed preventative " material they had installed under the mulch. I figured that i would address the issue with them when they arrived on 5/27 since they were supposed to be stopping by to do " maintenance " on the work they performed. We contacted them on the day that they were supposed to come to the property to do bi-weekly maintenance on the work they did since they had not shown up as of 5 p.m. We got an excuse from one owner ( bill ) stating that his dog had gotten injured and all of the employees of B&D contracting were at the veterinarian and would not make it out that day. At that point I told bill that I was tired of getting a run around from them and they can just come get there equipment and we can part ways. they had already at this point broken another signed contract involving lawn care maintenance and at this point we had heard enough excuses. Bill had also made several verbal promises about things that would be done around the property prior to the projects completion that were never done. It has been one lie after another with this company and i know it is going to cost me much more than i paid them to have someone come back in to undo all of the poor quality work and re do the work the correct way. I feel that this company deceived us through lies and false promises just to take our money and take advantage of us. There is plenty more to this story but i am too angry to continue typing about how wrong this company treated us.
