I went to buy a picture phone. Walter was the salesman. He told me the one I was buying would download pictures directly from the phone to the computer.He said if there's a problem, just return the phone. So I paid for it and went home. Approximatly 10 minutes away. I read the manual and hooked it to the computer and it didn't download from the phone, so I took it back within the hour. Then he informs me that there is a 20.00 restocking fee and tells me that my money will be sent to me within 2 weeks. So after 3 weeks I call. Walter said it was in the mail. After another week, I call again. He said there was a mixup and now it's being mailed that day. So another week passes, still no check. Finally after calling 8 times and and 6 weeks later, I get a check in the mail and it is several dollars lower than the amount I was supposed to be refunded. The signature on the check was not a signature at all. It was 2 pen markes making the shape of a banana. I called my bank and told them what they did, so they were aware of the check and cashed it anyway. I guess if they do that to enough people around the country, then it can be very profitable. My advice is to buy your stuff from direct dealers. Then if there is a problem, you will at least get all your money back and they will give it to you right then or credit it back to your account and won't have to wait. Oh yea, they wouldn't even cash the check they sent me!
