I filled in for a friend on a 4th of July event in Redondo Beach for Bell Event Services. I expected to be paid the day of the event and at the end I was told I needed to submit an invoice, (why this wasn't told to me two days earlier, I'm not sure)... I submitted an invoice via email on July 4th after services were rendered, and I waited. No check arrived. When contacted, I was told a check went out... it hadn't. Then I was told it went out again, and it hadn't.

On July 16th he told me that if the check didn't arrive in the mail on Friday the 17th, he would cancel the check and overnight Fedex a replacement on Monday the 20th. Didn't happen. When I texted him to ask if it got sent, he phoned me, yelled at me incoherently and when I calmly asked him why he was angry at me, he screamed at me "F*** YOU" and hung up.

??? Huh?

I'm the guy who filled in at short notice, I'm the guy who made his company look good, getting accolades from a promoter (who, I'm told, has NEVER complimented the entertainment before)... and now I'm the guy who gets told to screw off when I jumped through every hoop and still didn't get paid???

Michael Bell, you are one serious piece of work!

I'd advise ALL Los Angeles area DJ and entertainment companies to avoid Bell Events Services like the plague!!!

The supplier's check was lost in the mail. We sent out a replacement check via overnight service so we could track it. We issued an apology but the supplier refuced to accept it and was very rude to me and my office staff. Our company has a great reputation with all our suppliers. I am sorry this person wants to damage my reputation. We could have given him much more business but that does not seem possible.

The Check Finally Arrived, But Still No Apology...

Eighteen days after services were rendered the check finally arrived, (thanks to his employee in the finance department), and still no apology from him for starting this whole mess by verbally attacking me without provocation.
