Bernard Haldane and Associates, don't let them lead you to an empty wallet. Wish I knew about Rip-off Report

I wish I had known about these reports before I went to my visit to Bernard Haldane's office. I have the same story.

I was given promises of contacts that they had in the work force. I was young and had experience. When I found out how much it was going to cost, I said I would have to discuss it with my wife. The individual got very upset and mentioned that I did say that I could make all the decisions. How can anyone make a decision about such a cost without consulting their partner?? He let me go. My wife and I decided to get out, but in calling the salesman back, he mentioned that there was an employer interested in me and that he couldn't do anything because I was not yet a client. Looking at the fact that there was a job waiting for me, the money didn't seem so much. I bit and lost.

I was told that I would get an advisor in the technical field, he had no idea about technology. I was told that I would get technical contacts, I got contacts that had nothing to do with technology. I told them that I didn't know anyone here, I was told that it didn't matter where a person was from, they could be a contact. That didn't make much sense.

As for my resume, it doesn't look much different from the one that I had given them to start.

I was told in the first meetings that I would have a job before summer, summer is now come and gone. As time went on, more time elapsed between meetings. As in the contract, we were supposed to have a meeting at least every two weeks. I went about six. I wrote emails with no replies. I mentioned interest in going overseas, I was told that they would send emails to their associates overseas and I would be coppied on all emails. I have yet to recieve one.

After finally calling and and asking to speak to the manager, I found out that the manager was the same guy who lied to me in the first place. He got a meeting held between myself, him, and my advisor. He again gave me pretty much the same speech, that by the fall I would have a job, and I needed to try harder. Reading the headlines today, I don't see the economy getting any better and don't see any jobs popping up in the near future. I told him that I was broke and couldn't afford to stay where I was and would have to move. His answer was for me to go on government assistance!!!

The next day I called the manager and mentioned I wanted out of the company. He told me that I could not get any money back as they have put in more man hours than what I paid. That's definitely wrong as the contract states different percentages of where your money goes, and at least twenty-five percent was never dealt with. They at least owe me that much.

This happened in August, right now I have not heard from them after. My advice, stay away from the company.
