On December 2, 2007 we bought a 47" LCD HDTV from Best Buy in Surprise, Arizona.

We always pay cash (credit card, which is paid off at the endo of each month) because I do not like to have outstanding bills. However they talked us into going for a promotion they had at that time, no interest for 90 months or something like that. We thought okay, we can use the cash on a CD and just make the payments and pay it off by the requuired time.

The total bill came to $a,767.91 and we were going to make paymens of approximately $100 a month. They wanted us to pay $27 a month, which I thought was ridiculous, take way too long to pay off.

We usualll pay our bills by electronic payment from our bank. We have been doing this for a long time and it is always done the same way. Send in a blank check with void written across the check. They have our account number and it is deducted from our checking account each month. My husband sent it in to them, they did ask for the blank-voided check which he sent in telling them to deduct $75 each month. We would have paid it off at the end of two years or before their promotion deal ended.

When we recieived our bill this month, thinking it had been deducted , they said we had a $39 late charge!!!!!

We tried calling them for several days before we were able to get someone on the line. After going back and forth for about an hour we were told it would not go thru because we had sent in a voided check and we still owed the $39 late charge. What kind of business personal do they have out there?? That is the way you are supposed to do it and that is what he was told to do in the first place.

When we told them we were closing the account and paying it off they said something about the three credit bureaus, which I will be in touch with to see if they tried anyting. We have and always have had AAA credit ratings.

We are going to file a report with the Better Businness Bureau about this and also tell all our friends about the company. Perhaps this will help anyone that is thinking of buying somethin from them. They should only buy something if they cannot find it elsewhere and then if they buy from Best Buy only pay cash.
