Bestway Rent To Own Bestway Rental, Bestway All She Wanted Was A Bed But All We Got Were Bedbugs Shelbyville, Tennessee

In 2010 we moved into a very nice home, in doing so we felt as though we deserved some things to complete the house. My mother needed a new bed and got rid of the old one she'd had since the early 1990's during our move and tried sleeping on the floor and the couch, which was very uncomfortable for her so she decided to give Bestway another chance. She had dealt with them in the past and I can't really remember her ever having a delightful experience with the store's manager but she wanted to give her another chance.

I rented a laptop and my mother rented a washer/dryer set and a bedroom suit. The first thing to give us trouble was the dryer and it was right around Christmas time. I called the store manager who sent the contracted repair man to fix the problem. He was able to repair the dryer at that time, once finished he asked me if the manager told me the set was new, I told him yes; he had an odd look upon his face and told us he'd fixed it and if we ever needed him to call; he wished us a Merry Christmas and left.

I'd say right around February was when things got completely out of hand. I used to be able to sit in the room with my mother during the day and keep her company but I soon applied brakes to that. I noticed every day I went in her room and sat all day I'd itch and have to use my inhaler more often. I couldn't see any reason for such irritation....until one day she herself killed a bug. I had no knowledge of what type of bug it was until she told me and tried explaining to me that it was a bedbug and how nuisance they were. I almost wanted to laugh because I thought they were imaginative, the laugh was on me because a day or so later I saw a strange bug creeping up my wall and killed it with a piece of tissue. I showed it to her and she confirmed that it was a bedbug, which has turned out to be a "night"mare for sure. I have suffered ever since one or two bugs made their dreaded appearance. I've been having to take 200-300 mg of diphenhydramine a night, that's when the real irritation begins.

We began having trouble with the manager stealing money, I boldly confronted her with the situation but was still not happy. My mother hated to give her bed up but it was imperative. I disassembled it myself and boy was I ever nauseous, that horrible odor and the bugs that fell out of the bed frame were astonishing. I almost couldn't believe what I was looking at. I'm highly sensitive to them so I was not only near vomiting but I was itchy and welted for the rest of the day. I called Bestway on June, 2 to come and pick up their merchandise. They took every infested piece of that bedroom suit except the mattress and box spring, of which I had did my own little investigation on to find that they were NOT a matching set and the bottom of the box spring was ripped to shreds and had plenty of bugs crawling around inside. My research gave me the knowledge to know that since the box spring was torn up it WAS infested and they called themselves "cleaning" it to continue to make money. Well Bestway or Worstway in this case, you should have gotten rid of that junk when the first sight of infestation was spotted. The employee that picked up their junk told us at that time he already had a truck load of furniture that he was going to bomb for bugs that very day. He said a lot about the local store's business ethics, his manager and district manager;seems as though dishonesty and backstabbing is essentially part of this store's policy not to mention thievery on the sly side.

I sent the DM a message, he called me to tell me that we gave them bedbugs faaaarr from the truth, I didn't even know what a bedbug was until their garbage ready furniture came into our house. I did tell him it was best for him to try to take care of this situation now but since they thought I was lying I suppose we need to make believers out of them. Pictures?! Oh my GOD yes, I have pictures and so much more before they removed their junk off of the premises. I will be having these photos developed and ready to go within the next week or so.
